Abstract

A brassiere comprises a facing layer 3 sewn to a lining 4, the latter comprising bra cups 42 with wires 12 and elastic back pieces 43 sewn together, the facing cloth being slightly larger so as to cover the lining and to give the garment a seamless appearance. The lower periphery of the facing layer 3 may have a rib knitted structure.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
BRASSIRE BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a brassiere, more particularly to a brassiere having an obverse or outer cloth and a lining ; the lining is sewed and coupled to the bra cup and the back piece of the bra, and the obverse cloth is cut according to the contour and configuration that can fully cover the lining, and is coupled to the periphery stitch, such that the metal wire and the seams of the cloth are not visible from the front view, but it still retains the reliability of lifting and supporting a woman's breasts.
Description of the Prior Art As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, the prior art brassiere 1 comprises two symmetric bra cups 11 and a wire 12 is disposed and coupled to a periphery stitch of the bra cup 11 and to a breast piece 13; a back piece 14 and a positioning strip 15 are coupled to both sides of the stitch of the breast piece 13; a shoulder strap 16 is sewn between the upper end of the bra cup 11 and the upper edge of the back piece 14, and a buckle 17 is disposed at the rear end of the back piece 14, and the entire periphery of the brassiere is pressed to form the brassiere. Since the conventional brassiere 1 is made by sewing pieces of cloth together, therefore its external appearance shows many stitches and wire seaming lines, which make the brassiere look like a piece of quilted cloth and definitely not artistic at all when it is worn. In addition, the manufacture of such brassiere also has the shortcomings of requiring more manpower, and higher manufacturing cost.
In view of the shortcomings and inconvenience of the prior art mentioned above, which are the subjects of improvements for a long time,
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
hence the inventor of the present invention based on years of experience accumulated from the engagement in the related industry conducted extensive research to resolve the foregoing shortcomings and invented the present invention.
Therefore, the primary objective of the present invention is to provide a brassiere having the effect of invisible stitches for the wire and the cloth, and such brassiere has a low manufacturing cost, and an artistic appearance.
The present invention will now be described further, by way of example, with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which :- Fig. 3 shows the front view of a brassiere in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 4 shows the rear view of a brassiere structure in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention; Fig. 5 is an exploded diagram of a brassiere structure in accordance with a preferred embodiment of the present invention; and Fig. 6 shows the rear view of a brassiere according to another preferred embodiment of the present invention.
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT The bra$siere of the present invention 2 comprises an obverse cloth 3 and a lining 4; the lining 4 further comprises two symmetric bra cups 42 with wire 41 and couples to a piece of elastic cloth that is cut in the shape of a left and a right back pieces of cloth 43. An elastic strap 44 is sewed at the lower periphery of the left and the right back pieces, and an inelastic interlock piece 45 is sewed between two bra cups 42. The obverse or outer cloth 3 can be one with elasticity, plain surface, patterned, or printed patterned (not shown in the Fig. ). The cutting of the obverse cloth is slightly larger than the profile of the lining 4, and the lower periphery of the obverse cloth 3 has a rib knitted fabric surface 31 for reinforcing the elastic effect. It fully covers the obverse
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
cloth 3 on the lining 4 such that the rib knitted fabric surface 31 exposes outside the lower periphery of the lining. 4. The peripheries of the obverse cloth 3 and the lining are sewn, and the shoulder strap 5 is coupled to the upper end of the bra cup 42 and the upper periphery of the back piece 43, and the coupling may be done by stitching or by buckling. A buckle is sewed on the rear end of the back piece 43, and pressed threads 7 are performed along the periphery of the entire brassiere to reinforce the elastic effect and make the brassiere in accordance with the present invention.
When the obverse cloth 3 and the lining 4 are sewed together, it can be done in one of the following two ways. As shown in Fig. 4, one of the methods is to sew the upper periphery of the obverse cloth 3 of the brassiere 2 with the upper periphery of the lining 4. If the sewing area is the upper periphery of the stitches, then the lower peripheries of the obverse cloth 3 and the lining 4 can be separated. Another method is shown in Fig. 6, wherein the upper periphery of the obverse cloth 3 is sewn to the lower periphery of the lining 4 (as shown by the dotted line 8), so that the obverse cloth 3 and the lining 4 will not separate after the sewing.
When the brassiere is worn, the bra cup 42 can completely hold a woman's breast, and the whole bra 2 has a seamless look due to the invisible wire 41 and the invisible stitches between pieces of cloth, but it still retains the reliability of lifting a woman's breast as well as simplifies the production procedure, lowers the cost and enhances the production efficiency.
Furthermore, as shown in Figs. 4 and 6, when the rib knitted fabric surface 31, having an appropriate width and elasticity that is larger the entire piece, is disposed at the lower periphery of the obverse cloth 3, we leverage the powerful elastic effect to cover the skin of the breast and produce a restriction to prevent the obverse cloth 3 from being turned over. It provides a secure binding brassiere without any stress to the wearer.

While the invention has been described by way of example and in terms of a preferred embodiment, it is to be understood that the invention is not limited thereto. To the contrary, it is intended to cover various modifications and similar arrangements and procedures, and the scope of the appended claims therefore should be accorded the broadest interpretation so as to encompass all such modifications and similar arrangements and procedures.
