Abstract

A portable paper and card folding kit comprises two separate items the Main Guide (Figure 1) and the Hand Roller / Press (Figure 2). Using angles "T" or "D", or a combination of both, on the Main Guide to achieve the required paper size Standard, French Fold or Tri-folded paper or card can be consistently produced. Side "A" of the Hand Roller / Press is used to manually form the spine of the placed paper or card and side "B" of the Hand Roller / Press is then used to give the final finished effect using the incorporated roller.

Description.
The paper and card folding kit comprises two separate items Figure (1) shows the Main Guide. This guide, using the different angles, allows the paper or card to be prepared to the size required prior to the paper or card being pressed then rolled.
Figure (2) shows the combined Hand Press/Roller. This tool allows the paper or card to be pressed flat forming the primary spine on the folded paper or card and then to be given a final press to complete the required finish using the incorporated roller.
The apparatus is functional in both Left Hand and Right Hand mode as necessary.
The apparatus is portable and can be used on any convenient or available flat surface a table or worktop for instance.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawings in which : Figure (1) Shows a 3D view of the main guide.
Figure (2) Shows a 3D view of the combined hand press and roller.

1. As shown in (Figure 1) the Main Guide comprises of an"F"shape its two named right angles being the main guides for the folding procedure, although the Main Guide is webbed, to lend strength to its design, it is basically flat in structure, to allow it's use on any flat surface, and is proportioned to allow the paper or card to be placed correctly into angle"D"or"T", as required, facilitating the desired fold and finished paper size.
2. As shown in Figure (2) the Hand Press/Roller fulfils two functions, firstly to form a spine on the folded paper or card using the flat side of the device, Side "A", and secondly to give a final finish to the spine of the folded paper or card using the incorporated roller, Side"B'.
3. A portable paper-folding device as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.

Claims (5)

Claims. The invention relates to a portable paper or card-folding device. Achieving a proper, neat, or consistent, fold in either paper or card is difficult to achieve when folding solely by hand. The invention allows card or paper to be folded in half ; or in the case of a French Fold, quartered, giving a neat and consistent fold every time. The invention also provides the facility to fold multiple sheets of paper at one pass. The invention also allows paper or card to be given a neat and consistent Tri-fold enabling the folded paper to be fitted to DL sized envelopes without the usual trial and error normally encountered when folding the paper or card manually. The two-part kit will be produced in a suitable material <Desc/Clms Page number 4> Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows PORTABLE PAPER & CARD FOLDING KIT. Claims.
1. A portable paper and card-folding device comprising two parts, a main guide that contains two angles for accommodating the material to be folded to the required size and a hand-held roller that doubles as both manual press and finishing roller.
2. A portable paper and card folding device as claimed in Claim 1 that allows paper or card to be folded in half, quarter or in tri-fold format (DL size).
3. A portable paper and card folding device as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2 that allows paper or card to be folded using solely the manual press or a combination of the press and roller as required.
4. A portable paper and card-folding device as claimed in Claim I that is fully portable and can be used on any convenient flat surface.
5. A portable paper-folding device as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
