Abstract
A light for illuminating a keyhole has a back plate 1 for attaching to a door, above the keyhole. A front casing 13 is securely fixed to the back plate by a push-fit arrangement, such that the casing is water resistant and prevents water from entering the interior of the casing. The casing 13 holds a printed circuit board 7 that supports a battery 5, a timer 9 and two bulbs 6. The light is switched on by pressing a button 12 located on the front of the main case 13. The timer allows the light to stay illuminated for one minute, before automatically switching the light off. The case 13 may be made from plastic, aluminium, or a combination of these two materials.

UK PATENT APPLICATION (KEYHOLE) (1) The back plate is the part of the keyhole light that is fixed to the door itself, it is fixed securely to the door by (3) 3 x 2-2 mm screws which will go through (2) the 3 x 2mm holes that are drilled in the back plate. (4) This is the edge of the back plate that will hold the main front case securely together by pushing the front case being pushed onto the back plate, and then they will click securely together.
(7) This is the main P. C. BOARDS 16mm x 30mm that will be placed in the back of the main case It will be fixed securely to the back of the main case by (14) 2 x 2 mm screws. It will have a power supply by (5) a 3v battery. This will send the power supply to (6) two bulbs that will light up and shine the light down through the (11) clear plastic bottom. They will stay on for I min by (9) a timed component that has a timer of I min on it. This will work when (12) the main button is pushed in on the front of the (13) main case that will hold the main P. C. B in the back of. That will be hidden by (10) the side of the main case that will click onto the back plate by pressure from push of fingers.
The main case and the back plate are made of ABS material. It will come it two sizes PVC doors
(H) 40mm X (W) 24MM X (D) 10MM. And the big brother = (H) 45MM X (W) 40MM X (D) 1 OMM for wooden doors.
