Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>
Two stage bespoke wall covering product This invention is a two stage wall covering product which consists of wall covenngs, with add-on self adhesive pieces (which will be referred to as Stickers). The rationale for this product is to enable the consumer to decide on the final products'appearance in-situ. It is unique because it is designed to function as a unified product in finish and appearance, but which also supports creative decision making on the part of the consumer to create a bespoke wall cover product.
This invention is a surface pattern design system available in a Kit made up of wall coverings and stickers. The Kit incorporates products designed to work as a unified scheme, meaning that the wall covering and the stickers in situ are a single product E. g printed background could guide the placement of stickers by recognisable visual signs such as flower stems with a range flower stickers in vanous sizes and colours, or a geometric background with tessellated stickers which would be unlimited by direction or scale.
To complete the design the stickers are applied using a low-tack adhesive application paper. This method allows for some repositioning of the stickers. The method of application would support the function of the stickers in becoming a creative interface between the wall covering and the consumer.
The Kits would be available as real or virtual reality products and available as Off-The-Shelf Kits in stores, or personally commissioned bespoke Kits via ebased resources or catalogues.
Claims (3)

A two-stage bespoke wall covering product which comprises of an Incomplete printed wall covering, either bespoke or manufactured and stick-on pattern pieces (referred to as Stickers) ; application of the Stickers onto the bespoke or manufactured pattern wall covering creates a unified and bespoke surface pattern design scheme
- 2. A two stage wall covering product as claimed In Claim 1 where the product supports a method of application which allows for repositioning of the stickers, This facilitates surface pattern design decision making on the part of the consumer when the product is in situ
- 3. A two stage wall covering product as claimed in Claim 1 and 2 where the wall covering guides the placement of the pattern pieces through the surface pattern language, e. g. a printed wallpaper background of flower stems with a choice of flower head stickers in various sizes and colours 4 A two-stage wall covering product as claimed In claims 1,2, & 3 ts designed to become a means to create a bespoke wall covering from a kit designed to be made available as off-shelf kits or commissioned kits, via e-based resources or catalogues
