Abstract

A manual snow plough comprises a blade with a curved cross section mounted on a chassis with swivelling castors 5 and a T-shaped handle attached to the chassis by an adjustment mechanism 4 giving four possible angles of tilt. The blade may be angled at 60 degrees to the transverse axis of the chassis.

MANUAL SNOW PLOUGH TECHNICAL FIELD & BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to a plough particularly adapted for being manually used to push snow & other material to one side, for example, sand, slurry, manure, various building materials, for example, gravel, Chipping's tarmacadam, leaves, soil & water.
This invention allows the operator to disperse the above mentioned materials without having to bend over as in shovelling process thus being an easier task to undertake.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
SUMMERY OF THE INVENTION Therefore it is an object of the invention to provide a manually operated plough which is simple to use & is virtually maintenance free.
It is another object of the invention to provide a plough which is less labour intensive.
It is another object of the invention to provide a plough which can be ajusted to suit operators of different stature by means of the handle adjustment plate.
It is another object of the invention to provide a plough which when ajusted to suit the operator, can be tilted in a downward direction & can effectively disperse snow & other material to a depth of 150mm when pushed in the direction of travel.
It is another object of the invention to provide a manually operable plough which is less likely to cause over exertion of the user.
It is another object of the invention to provide a manually operable plough which can be steered in the direction the user wishes to travel by means of the swivel casters \ wheels & the handle
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
It is another object of the invention to provide a manually operable plough which can be used by all, from children to the elderly by means of the handle adjustment.
