Abstract
A portable compact disc cleaning and restoring device is capable of rotating a disc at high speed and has a recirculating fan to blow dust off the disc surface. The dust is sucked up and filtered out. A dry buffer is the applied to the disc. The disc can be sprayed with a strong cleaning solution and then buffed with a cleaning buffer before the dry buffer. To deal with scratches, the device can finely spray the disc with a coating solution that finds its own level, when the disc is spinning, to fill any scratches. The fan then has the second purpose of drying coating solution, the dry buffer then being applied to finish the job.

The New Automatic Portable CD Cleaner/Kestorer At the moment if one has a damaged audio Compact Disk one has to buy a cleaning kit and clean the CD by hand which is a very time consuming task and is not always successful or send the CD to a company that cleans them for you which costs and takes time or you buy a new CD, but what if it's a data disc? do you really want to give up your private information to a company to clean and wait so long that the data could be copied or is out of date.
Claims (7)
- Claim One.However, this new machine the Automatic Portable Compact Disk Cleaner/Restorer is a laboursaving device for dirty or scratched CD's that anyone can use at home or the office. It works on battery or mains and works on the basis of centrifugal forces to perform its task. You just put the CD in the machine, select the function you think it needs and press Run: no more dodgy discs or expensive cleaning. It has three main functions which are: Claim Two.Function One. Buff + Run If a CD just has dust on its surface the CD Cleaner rotates the CD at high speed and has a Re-circulating Fan which blows dust off the surface of the CD and at the same time sucks up the dust to be filtered out, the CD Cleaner then Buffs up the CD with the Dry Buffer while the fan is still on and completes function one.Claim Three.Function Two. Clean/Buff + Run If a CD has coffee stains or grease from your finger on the surface the CD Cleaner rotates the CD while the Re-circulating Fan removes dust off the surface of the CD as in function one and stops, then the CD is finely sprayed with a strong cleaning solution and at the same time buffs up with the Cleaning Buffer, the Recirculating Fan restarts to help dry the CD then the Dry Buffer finishes off, completing function two.Claim Four.Function Three. Clean/Coat/Buff + Run If a CD has scratches on its surface the CD Cleaner is the device to use as this is its main feature for this type of damage, CD Cleaner goes through (function two) and when the CD is cleaned and dried it's finely sprayed with a coating solution that finds its ownvel because of the CD spinning at high speed, thus filling the scratches and leaving a perfect finish to ine surface and the Re-circulating Fan has a dual purpose. It dries the coating fast, once dried it finishes off with the Dry Buffer The drying and cleaning buffers will be units that are replaceable, also the cleaning and finishing spray units.<Desc/Clms Page number 3>Amendments to the ctaims have been filed as follows Claims 1. An automatic portable compact disc cleaner/restorer not only cleans and buffs up the compact disc automatically but uses a unique way of repairing most surface scratches to perfection and works on the basis of using centrifugal forces to perform its primary task.
- 2. An automatic portable compact disc cleaner/restorer as claimed in claim 1 with a dual speed motor via a belt to spin the compact disc at high or low speeds automatically.
- 3. An automatic portable compact disc cleaner/restorer as claimed in claim 1 and claim 2 with a replaceable jet spraying unit for applying strong cleaning fluid to the compact disc surface automatically.
- 4. An automatic portable compact disc cleaner/restorer as claimed in claim 1 claim 2 and claim 3 with a replaceable jet spraying unit for applying a (fast drying) clear coating solution.
- 5. An automatic portable compact disc cleaner/restorer as claimed in claim 1 claim 2 claim 3 claim and claim 4 with a second sprung spindle in the upper part of the box which grips and holds the compact disc in place face up and also acts as a clutch when the lid is shut down, thus transferring the main two speed motor drive from the lower half of the box to the upper half of the box.
- 6. An automatic portable compact disc cleaner/restorer as claimed in claim 1 claim 2 claim 3 claim 4 and claim 5 with a multi purpose re-circulating fan to ; 1. blow dust off the disc's surface, 2. dry the discs surface. and 3. suction to extract dust from the disc's surface, with an air flow redirection/shut-off flap and a replaceable dust filter fitted in between the re-circulating air flow ducting.
- 7. An automatic portable compact disc cleaner/restorer as claimed in claim 1 claim 2 claim 3 claim 4 claim 5 and claim 6 with a pre-programmed control chip and timer chip.
