Abstract
A device for catching dog faeces comprises two tray-like parts 1 foldable relative to one another about a hinged connection 2. The open tray can catch faeces and then be folded shut, secured by a boss 6 on one part 1 engaging in a slot of a slotted strap 5 on the other part 1, and carried by a handle 4. Bosses 7 on the sides of both parts 1 can be used to hold a liner in place on the tray.

TRASH TRAY TOR rOG FAFCFS This invention relates to a foldable and portable trash tray for dog faeces Various means have been introduced to control and remove dog faeces deposited on private and public places. It is well known that the faeces are normally deposited on public places first before being removed, an action which may cause contamination and perhaps a danger to public health. By its nature this invention may prevent this and act in the best interests of public relations.
According to the present invention there is provided a foldable and portable trash tray consisting of two similar sections hinged together with a handle on one section for carrying and a strap with slots in which fastens on a boss on the other section to hold both sections together when folded. Bosses are provided on the sides of both sections so that when the trash tray is open and relatively flat a liner of suitable material may be spread on it and attached to the bosses in such a way that after use it may be removed for disposal.
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which Figure 1 shows in perspective the trash tray spread out relatively flat.
Figure 2 shows in perspective the trash tray with a liner attached.
Referring to the drawings the trash tray Fig 1 is composed of two similar shaped pieces of material of suitable thickness (1) which are hinged together (2) and (3) which enables them to be folded and unfolded. A handle is attached at (4) for carrying and a slotted strap (5) which fastens on a boss on the opposite piece (6) when the trash tray is folded. Bosses are provided on the sides of both pieces (7) to hold a liner firmly to the trash tray.
Fig 2 shows in perspective the trash tray with a liner attached (8) and bosses by which the liner is held to the trash tray (9).
