Abstract

In a dog faeces collecting device comprising relatively pivotable jaws E, F between which a disposable plastics bag J can be disposed with its mouth folded back over the exterior of the jaws, pivotally-mounted plates G, H are provided to hold and conceal substantially the entire folded-back part of the bag. Jaw E is fixed in position and L-shaped jaw F is pivotable by manual operation of a spring-urged linkage C carried by the handle A of the device. Plates G, H are carried by the jaws E, F respectively and are spring-loaded. The device may be made of metal or plastics material.

/) 0 (T FA Ec E 5 c. 0 l-L- E CT e P. SPECI [ICATION SPECI/ICATION The rbject of the invention is to pick up excrement or faeces by a mechanism incorporating a plastic bag, thus eleminatin the problem of disposal by means of a plastic bag over the hand.

Although it would be of general use to dog owners, it would be particularly heipfut to those whose movement is restricted or the lisbled. rhe mechanism would preferably be constructed using metal or plasticmaterial.

The preferred construction of the invention is described with reference po attached sketch.

Claims

CLAIMS 1. A device made of any suitable material tor picking up faeces comprising of handle with an opening and closing mechanism which holds and conceals a plastic bag.
