Description

EASY FIT PIPE CONNECTOR The invention relates to a pipe connector which allows the connection of Spigot Ended Pipes of the same or different sized outside diameters and are of a special type which remain parallel at all times during installation.
Pipe Connectors are well known but commonly suffer from displacement when installation is been carried out past their fifty percent tolerance band, which prevents a seal from being achieved due to movement of the centre sleeve and sealing Gaskets.
The object of this invention is to provide a Pipe Connector which will not displace and still achieve a eighty percent coverage of the seal gaskets onto the Pipe wall.
Accordingly this invention provides a Pipe Connector which is user friendly and works on top and bottom tolerance without displacing and can be installed in the same way as traditional Pipe Connectors.
A specific embodiments of the invention will now be described by way of example with references to the accompanying drawing in which : Figure 1. Illustrates the Pipe Connector in situ on bottom tolerance and it shows a cross section of the Pipe Connector and End Rings which are grooved oversize to allow the Seal gaskets to move and then stop in their sealing position on bottom tolerance giving a eighty percent making surface on the Pipewall.

Claims (4)

  1. CLAIMS EASY FIT PIPE CONNECTOR 1. An easy fit wide range Pipe Connector which does not displace during installation.
  2. 2. An easy fit wide range Pipe Connector which incorporates a tongue and oversized groove principle.
  3. 3. An easy fit wide range Pipe Connector which is made from Metal, Rubber or Plastic in any combination.
  4. 4. An easy fit wide range Pipe Connector as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
