Abstract

A utility wallet, similar in overall size and shape to known men's wallets, further comprises at least two compartments 1, 2 each adapted to hold at least one of a variety of implements. The implements can be any of a writing implement such as a ballpoint pen or a pencil 6, a comb 7, a calculator, a torch, nail scissors, a timepiece or a toothpick. The compartments may be arranged so that any combination of these implements maybe held in the compartments of the wallet. The wallet maybe of leather or fabric, may also include an information panel 3 displaying the contact details and blood group of the wallet's owner, and may have compartments suitable for holding banknotes 4, driving licences/insurance details 5 and credit cards.

Description

UTILITY WALLET This Invention relates to a utility wallet Wallets are well known items carried by most males, and some females, and are used to conveniently carrying bank notes, credit cards, driving licence and car insurance certificates. They are of a suitably slim size to fit In the pockets of trousers or jackets. They should not be confused with men's or ladies handbags or waistbands Present wallets do not, however, provide suitable compartments for the stowage of a hair comb or ballpoint pen. Both these items are frequently required, especially by males, and are not normally readily available when required. Other implements such as calculator, torch, nail scissors, timepiece or toothpick may also be incorporated in any combination, but for brevity only the hair comb and pen are described in detail.
According to the present invention there is built into the main body of the utility wallet suitable areas for the carriage of utility items such as a hair comb and ballpoint pen. A special area for the inclusion of a hair comb is built Into the edge of the utility wallet, along with a container for the ballpoint pen built into the spine.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which : Figure 1 shows in perspective and approximately to scale, the main body of the utility wallet.
Figure 2 shows the relevant positions of the compartments designed to hold the hair comb and pen, along with the direction of insertion into the utility wallet.
Referring to the drawing the utility wallet comprises a wallet, either constructed of leather, fabric or other such material, containing a pen holder (1), hair comb compartment (2), Name/Contact number/Blood type information panel (3), two large compartments for carriage of banknotes (4), compartments for the carriage of credit card sized cards, driving licence and insurance certificate (5).
The pen is inserted into the special container built into the spine of the utility wallet (6) and the hair comb is inserted into the compartment built into the side of lower portion (7).

CLAIMS 1 A utility wallet, similar in size and style to a gents wallet, but containing compartments to hold various implements 2 A utility wallet as claimed in Claim 1 wherein a compartment is incorporated to hold a ballpoint pen, pencil or other writing implement 3 A utility wallet as claimed in Claim 1 wherein a compartment is incorporated to hold a hair comb 4 A utility wallet as claimed in Claim 1 wherein an area is incorporated to hold a calculator 5 A utility wallet as claimed in Claim 1 wherein a compartment is incorporated to hold a torch 6 A utility wallet as claimed in Claim 1 wherein a compartment is incorporated to hold a nail scissors 7 A utility wallet as claimed in Claim 1 wherein a compartment is incorporated to hold a timepiece 8 A utility wallet as claimed in Claim 1 wherein a compartment is incorporated to hold a toothpick 9 A utility wallet as claimed in Claim 1 but including any combination of Claims 2,3, 4,5, 6.7 or 8
