Abstract

A flexible cool bag comprises two folding panels (1,2) able to be held together by two side zips (3). Each panel is formed from insulation and has a reflective lining (8). When unzipped the panels may lie flat for storage purposes. The bag may contain a removable PVC lining (12) acting as a container for food and drink which needs to be kept cool. The lining (12) is held in place by interlocking seals (9,10,11). The front (5, Fig.1) of the bag unzips to allow easy access.

Cool boxes and picnic hampers are well known for their bulkiness, and take up a lot of space They are therefore a problem to store anywhere in the home, and in time they begin to get stained and are hard to clean Our picnic cool bag has a contemporary look, designed for the fast-moving, modern lifestyle of today's family The concept of our picnic cool bag is to combine a cool box with a picnic hamper Thus you have a picnic cool bag. It is super light and comes flat-packed for easy storage, and can be repacked after use The front panel of the bag unzips which allows for quick, easy access, without having to open the main compartment. The clear PVC lining (12) inside acts as the container for food and drink which needs to be kept cool. It can be easily removed and cleaned.

Assembling the Picnic Cool Bag is very easy. The first step is to zip up the two zips (3) along both

sidespfthe bag. When in place, secure the PVC lining (12) to the sides of the bag using the strong (IM'" Velcroeal (9) and (10). It's that easy.

The mesh compartment (13) can be used for storing napkins The elastic (15) is for plate storage and (14) for storing knives and forks.

To conform to the BSI standards, the cool bag has been developed with a U\ removable, washable clear PVC plastic lining (12). This is securely held in place with Velcro (10) and (11). The seams are heat-sealed to prevent leakage (13). The make-up of the EVA shell (1) and

(2) with insulation and reflective and reflective lining (8), together with the clear PVC lining (12) make the product very efficient for retaining the cold for longer.

Illustrated in Fig 2.5 and 10.

The EVA moulded fabric (1) and (2) also adds to its efficiency. This fabric acts as a double protection. Not only is it durable and will protect the contents of the bag, it also forms part of the structure of the bag, with its debossed sections adding padding (6) to the point of contact between the body and the bag, thereby protecting the body against the load.

Claim I The deconstruction of the Coolbag/Picnic Coolbag as a flat pack concept This is achieved by the design of the two identical T-shaped folding panels which inter-zip one another by the design of the two s-shaped side zips These complete the construction and deconstruction of the Coolbag/Picnic Coolbag.

   To achieve the flat pack concept : from the top of the bag, undo the two S-shaped side zips in an opposite direction, until they meet at the bottom of the bag This allows the bag to fold out and lie flat.
2. 2 The PVC removable inter-lining protects the Coolbag/Picnic Coolbag from stains and

   leakages from perishable goods which would effect the performance of the Coolbag The PVC inter-lining has a Velcglsseal which means it can be easily removed, allowing the Coolbag/Picnic Coolbag to be flat-packed.
