Abstract

The pen holder is a free standing or fixed design which retains the lids of felt tip pens (Ref. 0001) and/or other types of pens. The lids have snap air tight seals when the pens are re-engaged back into the lids. There are gaps between the lids which can be staggered. It can help to teach children colour recognition, matching and hand-eye co-ordination.

Description

Pen Park The invention relates to a design which retains the lids of felt tip pens and/or other types of pens. It could be free standing or fixed. It could be made of any materials including a light weight dear perspex mould or possibly metal, plastic, wood or a combination of these.
Coloured felt pens are commonly used. As a Nursery School Teacher I found that we were constantly losing the lids and the pens dried out too quickly.
The lids of the felt tip pens can be in various sizes they are embedded into the mould so they cannot be misplaced. The pens are kept together in the mould of various fun designs, encouraging their use. With pre-school children/others it also teaches them colour recognition, matching, hand eye co-ordination, language and a sense of caring for objects when they are tidied away.
The essential features are the retainment of lids in various designs.
The lids have snap air tight seals prolonging the life of the pen when they are engaged back into the lid.
There are gaps between the lids which can be staggered allowing for easy grip and access.
Description of the drawings as follows : Diagram A Moulded Train Design-Side View It has embedded coloured felt pen lids (Ref 0001).
This mould has embossed markings to accentuate the design of a train.

Claims (6)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A Pen Park including a free standing or fixed design which has imbedded lids of felt tip pens and/or other types of pens.
  2. 2. A Pen Park as claimed in Claim 1 has air tight seals in the lids when the pens are re-engaged back into lid.
  3. 3. A Pen Park as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2 which can be made from any materials including wood, metal, plastic or a combination of these materials.
  4. 4. A Pen Park as claimed in Claim 1, Claim 2 and Claim 3 can be moulded into varying shapes and form, with embossed detail to accentuate such form.
  5. 5. A Pen Park as claimed in Claim 1, Claim 2, Claim 3 and Claim 4 has gaps between the lids.
  6. 6. A Pen Park substantially as herein described and Illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
