Abstract
The keyboard includes upper and lowercase letter keys arranged in alphabetic sequence, wherein keys Aa-Jj are arranged on a first row, keys Kk-Ss are arranged on a second row, and keys Tt-Zz are arranged on a third row. The arrangement may be used with a personal computer, or any other device which presently uses a QWERTY key arrangement.
Description

EASY AS ABC The invention is of a keyboard designed to be easily accessible to users, particularly new users.
Novice keyboard users will most probably have knowledge of the letters in alphabetical order, and to be able to utilise this when approaching a keyboard is a distinct advantage to being faced with an unfamiliar order of letters. Young users may not have the hand span or access to training to use the QWERTY keyboard for touch- typing. Therefore a "one finger" style of typing will undoubtedly be developed and an alphabetical order keyboard will be helpful for ease of usage.
A further detail to make the keyboard user friendly would be each key having both lower and capital letters displayed for ease of identification of correct key.
Other keys would be in the same position as on previous designs facilitating transition to a QWERTY keyboard should this prove advantageous at a future time. If however skills acquired using an alphabetical order keyboard were found to be adequate to the user no trading in or retraining to touch typing on a QWERTY keyboard would be necessary.
An alphabetical order keyboard would ensure use of one of the fundamental pieces of education, and ensure it can be applied successfully to ease use of a personal computer or any device, which at present uses a QWERTY keyboard.
