236,627. Adler, H. H. April 7, 1924. Colour scales. - Apparatus for selecting harmonious colour combinations, for use e.g. in household decoration, comprises a colour chart on which are colour areas of various individual hues arranged in parallel columns 2, 3, 4, and a mask 5, usually constructed as an envelope to contain the chart. The mask 5 is shiftable to exhibit a single colour area. in each column, the areas 8, 9, 10 thus exhibited a harmonious combination. The colour areas 8, 9, 10 may be of different sizes indicative of the relative prominance when used for decorative purposes, and the apertures in the mask may be in a single straight line or staggered as shown.
