Abstract

A signal transmitting flashing adapter 1 for a hand-held electrode game 3 comprises a socket for connecting with a game, a socket for connecting with a transmitting cable, a light bar 14 on a rotary seat 13 which may be turned to any angle and a circuit structure having delay, light on, flash and transistor control units which are used to trigger an LED to flash. Preferably the LED is disposed in a receiving chamber of the rotary seat. The adapter may be used to provide a bright colourful effect for players playing linked up electronic games or can be used to illuminate the display panel in a single game.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1> SIGNAL TRANSMITTING/FIASHING ADAPTER FOR HAND-HELD ELECTRONIC GAME BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an adapter, and more particularly to a signal transmitting/flashing adapter for hand-held electronic game. When two electronic games are interconnected to play the game in an opposed mode, a light bar flashes at slow or fast speed in accordance with the signal transmission speed so that the players can have more fun when playing the game.
The existent electronic games have more and more advanced functions. The software of the game achieves a stereo sound and light effect and high resolution real picture to provide a live feeling for the player. In an opposed mode, a bright sound and I ight effect is provided for both players to enhance the fun and novelty when playing the game. However. when playing with single aame or playing with interconnected double games in an opposed mode, the sound and I ight effect of the existent electronic games is still insufficient and monotonous and lacks real shocking effect.
SUNSIARY OF THE INVENTION It is therefore a primary object of the present invention to provide a signal transmitting/flashing adapter for hand-held electronic game. When two electronic .
aames are interconnected to

play the game in an opposed mode, a light bar flashes at slow or fast speed in accordance with the signal transmission speed 'so that the players can have more fun when playing the game.
r> The present invention can be best understood through the following description and accompanying drawings wherein: BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF TBE DRAWINGS Fia. I & # is a perspective exploded view of thepresent invention; Fig. 2 is a perspective assembled view of the present invention; Fig. 3 is a.sectional view of a part of the present invention; Fig. 4 shows that the light bar of the present invention is rotated; Fla. 5 is a block circuit diagram of the present invention; Fig. 6 is a circuit diagram of the present invention; Fig. 7shows that thepresent invention isappliedtoone single game; and Fig. 8 shows that the present invention is applied to double interconnected games.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT Please refer to Figs. I and 2. The adapter 1 of the present invention is composed of two casings 10 mated with each other. A circuit structure 20 is disposed in the casing 10. The periphery I
<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
of the casing 10 is equippedwith amain frame socket. 11, an expansion socket 12 and a rotary seat 13 connected with a 'I*i',o,,,ht bar 14. The main frame socket 11 serves to electrically connect with an electronic game 3. The expansion socket 12 serves to connect with a transmission cable for interconnecting, two electronic games and transmitting the signals. The rotary seat 13 ( as shown in Fia. 3 is formed with an internal receiving chamber 131. One side of the rotary seat 13 is formed with an engaging section 132 having a through hole 133. An LED 134 is disposed in the receiving chamber 131. The wire 135 of the LED 134 is passed through the through hole 133 to electrically connect with the circuit structure 20 in the casing 10. The inner wall of upper section of the receiving chamber 131 is formed with inner thread 136 for fixedly screwing with the I ight bar 14. The LED 134 emi t s 1 ight to keep I ight ing up the ent i re light bar 14 and achieve an illuminating effect. The rotary seat 13 can be freely swung as necessary.
The c i rcui t s t ructure 20 ( as shown in Figs. 5 and 6 ) includes a delay control unit 21, a flash control unit 22, a light on control unit 23 and a transistor control unit 24. The delay control unit 21 receives the signals input by the transmission cable and delays the signals. The flash control unit 22 and the light on control unit 23 are controlled by the transistor control unit 24. When the transistor control unit 24 receives the signals sent from the delay control unit 21, the transistor control unit 24 makes the flash control unit 22 tricraer the LED 134 to flash. In case that no signal is received, the light on control unit 23 makes the LED 134 keep

I i gh t i ng, Practically, the above adapter I can be used in two states. In a first state, as shown in Fi.g. 7, the adapter I is applied to one single game. Via the main frame socket 11, the adapter I is C# tD electrically connected with the game 3. In such non-opposed mode, no signal is transmitted to the game from outer side so that the LED 134 i s in a powered on state and keeps I ight ing for I I luminat ing the LCD panel of the game 3. In a second state, double games are interconnected as shown in Fig. 8. Two adapters I are respectively mounted on two games 3 and a transmission cable is connected between the expansion sockets 12 of the games 3 for transmitting signals. Accordingly, when the signals are transmitted to each game 3 from theother, the light bar 14will flash. The flashingeffect isvaried with the transmission speed of the signals and is distinguishable. Therefore, the players can have more fun when playing the game and a bright colorful visual effect is achieved at night.
According to the above arrangement , the adapter of the present invention has the following advantages: t# I. The adapter has small volume and beautiful appearance. 2. The adapter consumes little power and can be readily used after plugged.
3. The signals are directly processed without passiing through
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
complicated circuit so that the true state of the signals can be directly presented.
4. The light bar will flash when there are signals and will not flash when there is no signal. In addition, the light In bar flashes at distinguishable slow and fast speeds.
5. When applied to single game or ' there is no signal transmitted, the light bar serves to illuminate the LCD panel.
The above embodiment is only used to illustrate the present invention, not intended to limit the scope thereof. Many modifications of the above embodiment can be made without de arting p from the spirit of the present invention.
