Abstract

A container 1 of circular form has scraping blades 22 borne by a cylindrical member 21 mounted on a rotatable actuating body and having outer ends in contact with the inner wall of the container. On rotating the body 33, which is effected by engaging projections 341 on a cup member 34 in slots 341 in the body 33, the body initially moves relative to the cylindrical member 21 so that apertures 23,32 in the member 21 and body 33 are aligned. On further rotation of the body 33, the blades 22 feed contents to be discharged towards the apertures 23,32 and through the apertures 23,32 to enter the cup 34. After discharge of a required portion of the contents, the movement of the body 33 may be reversed to close the container by moving the apertures 23,32 out of alignment. Alternatively, the body 33 may have a peripheral flange for direct manual actuation or an actuating member may be provided at the top of the container. Further, the blades 22 may have vertical extension pieces at their outer ends.

Description

<Desc/Clms Page number 1> CONTAINER MAKING USE OF BLADE ROTATION FOR RELEASING MATERIALS INSIDE THROUGH THE BOTTOM THEREOF BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a container making use of blade rotation for releasing materials inside through the bottom thereof, and more particularly to a revolving scraper at the bottom of the container for releasing the material through the bottom to facilitate the removal of the material and a micro-adjustment. In addition, no old material remains at the bottom of the container.
2. Description of the Prior Art The material inside of the conventional bottles, cans, buckets, etc. is brought out from the top opening thereof by means of spoons, ladles or other tools. However, these ways for bringing out materials inside have the following defects: I . If the container is deep, the more deeply the material is situated, the more difficult it can be brought out. It's very impractical. Each utensil for taking out the material inside can be used for only one material container because the mixture of different materials would cause a chemical reaction. Accordingly, the use of the spoon-like utensils at the laboratory or medicine-dispensing room must be very careful. In addition, the drug could have a strong poison. It's still possible to contact it in taking it out.
2. When the material in the container is insufficient, the new one has to be added. However, the old material remains inside, and the new material is filled to cover
<Desc/Clms Page number 2>
the old one so that the old material would not be taken out forever. Some would then be collected in a lump, or some would expire for using. These are unfavorable situations in filling chemical drugs, medicine, food, etc. in the container. .
3. Some materials have high viscosity, being easy to be stuck to the inner wall of a container. After a gradual accumulation over a long time, they would be changed to be a solid state. Thus, it's inconvenient that the solid lump has to be scraped off frequently.
Consequently, the conventional containers are impractical for household or industrial use in releasing materials inside.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION It is a primary object of the present invention to remove the above-mentioned disadvantages of the conventional containers and to provide a container making use of blade rotation for releasing materials inside through the bottom thereof. The material in the container of the present invention can be taken out without using any spoon-like utensils. It's convenient and safe in using.
It is another object of the present invention to provide a container making use of blade rotation for releasing materials inside through the bottom thereof. No old material will remain at the bottom of the container, and the freshness of the material can be ensured and won't be destroyed.
It is a further object of the present invention to provide a container making use of blade rotation for releasing materials inside through the bottom thereof. The material won't be stuck on the inner wall of the container.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT First of all, referring to Figs. 1 and 2, an applicable embodiment of the present invention includes: a round container I having a top cover 11 at the top thereof and a circular groove 12 at the center of the bottom thereof; a revolving scraper 2 constructed as a hollow cylinder 21 with a downward opening, the bottom rim of the opening end being mounted on the circular groove 12, the cylinder 21 having a plurality of scraping blades 22 at the outer rim thereof each of which includes an outer end 221 in contact with the inner wall of the round container 1, each of the scraping blades 22 having material-releasing groove 23 at the side rim of the cylinder 21, the material -releasing grooves 23 having a locking body 231 at one side of the inner wall thereof, a stair-shaped side 211 being formed at the inner rim of the top of the cylinder 21 for installing a locating element 24, a cap 25 being screwed at the outer rim of the cylinder 21; a release control 3 having a control body 31 attached to the inside of the cylinder 21, longitudinal grooves 32 being opposite to the material -releasing grooves 23 of the cylinder 21, the control body 31 being fixed at the inside of the cylinder 21 by means of the locating element 24 on the stair-shaped side 211 of the cylinder 21, an actuating body 33 being disposed at bottom rim of the round container 1 and connected with the control body 31 while the actuating body 33 having at least one locking slot 331; wherein the improvement is characterized in that, by means of turning the actuating body 33, the front side end 311 or the rear side end 312 of the longitudinal grooves 32
<Desc/Clms Page number 5>
pushes against the locking body 231 of the material-releasing grooves 23 so that, when the control body 31 turns clockwise or counterclockwise, the material-releasing grooves 23 of the control body 31 are situated in an open or closed state while the revolving scraper 2 is able to scrape off the material through the circular groove 12 at the bottom of the round container 1.
Referring to Fig. 3 together with Fig. 5, the circular groove 12 at the bottom of said round container 1 is shown in a closed state. At this time, the control bodies 31 of the release control 3 are all situated at the material-releasing grooves 23 of the revolving scraper 2 while the front side end 311 is just engaged with the locking body 231 of the material-releasing grooves 23. In continuing to turn the actuating body 33, the release control 3 will also be revolved therewith while the material inside won't be able to pass through.
Furthermore, in order to facilitate the rotation of the actuating body 33, an applicable embodiment of the present invention is provided with a bottom cup 34 under the actuating body 33 which includes a plurality of projecting pieces 341 corresponding to the locking slots 331. Besides, the bottom cup 34 is fitted with a raised rim 342 at the upper rim thereof. The raised rim 342 contains a male thread 343 at the outer. side thereof. In addition, the bottom cup 34 is supported by a tray 35 fixed at the bottom of the round container 1. The tray 35 includes a supporting surface 351 and female thread 352 for receiving the raised rim 342 of the bottom cup 34. Therefore, a sealed state is created when the tray 35 and the bottom cup 34 are screwed together. Accordingly, when the bottom cup 34 is screwed on the tray 35, the internal can be situated in an airtight and watertight state so that the material inside of the container won't be damaged or moistened.
<Desc/Clms Page number 6>
Referring to Fig. 4 together with Fig. 6, the circular groove 12 is shown in an opened state. When the projecting pieces 341 of the bottom cup 34 is engaged into the locking slots 331 and the locking slot 331 is turned clockwise, the rear side end 312 of the longitudinal grooves 32 of the control body 31 leans and pushes against the locking body 231 of the cylinder 21. Thus, the whole revolving scraper 2 is also rotated. At this time, the material-releasing grooves 23 is situated in an open state. The material is conveyed by the scraping blades 22 to the circular groove 12 and received by the bottom cup 34. After the material is finished releasing, turn the bottom cup 34 slightly counterclockwise so that the material-releasing grooves 23 is closed by the release control 3, and then, as shown in Fig. 3, the bottom cup 34 is downwards screwed on the 351 of the tray 35. Thus, the bottom cup 34 can also be unscrewed out of the tray 35 to take out the desired amount of the material.
Fig. 7 shows a top view of the revolving scraper 2 of the present invention. It's preferable that the scraping blades 22 is constructed in a forward curved body in order to effectively scrape the material to the material-releasing grooves 23. In addition, the curvature of the scraping blades 22 can be made in accordance with the characteristics of the material in order to maximize the scraping effect. Moreover, the outer end 221 of the scraping blades 22 leans against the inner wall of the round container 1 in order to prevent the material from sticking to the inner wall. Certainly, the outer end 221 of the blades 22 is constructed scraper-shaped. The center of the outer end 221 is provided with an insertion slot 222 for inserting a scraper 223 (refer to Fig. 11) vertically therein to ensure that no material stuck to the inner wall.
A second embodiment of the present invention, as shown in Figs. 8 and 9, also contains the necessary elements like the round container 1, the revolving scraper 2 and
<Desc/Clms Page number 7>
the release control 3. The actuating body 33 in this embodiment extends outward and upward to form a ring 332 which leans against the bottom rim and whose outer diameter is smaller than that of the round container 1. Accordingly, the user can operate the present invention by means that one single hand holds the round container 1 while the thumb turns the ring 332 of the actuating body 33, as shown in Fig. 10. In order to reach the sealed state in the ordinary situation, the bottom side of the round container 1 is fitted with female thread 13 whose diameter is larger than that of the ring 332 in order to screw *a bottom cover 14 for sealing.
Thus, the second embodiment and the first embodiment are alike in technique and characteristics but differ only in the way of turning the actuating body 33. The user can choose either of them according to different needs for maximizing the convenience and the safety of the present invention.
Referring to Fig. 11; in order to prevent the material inside of the round container 1 from sticking to the inner wall, the scraper 223 of a certain height can be inserted into the insertion slot 222 on the outer end 221 of the scraping blades 22. Accordingly, the scraper 223 is turned therewith for effective removal of the material on the wall. Furthermore, when the round container 1 is filled with powdered material of high density or high viscosity, a vent pipe 26 can be inserted at the top of the cap 25. Therefore, the material inside of the round container 1 can smoothly move itself downwards for fear of difficult material-release due to a vacuum suction. Referring to Fig. 12, a further embodiment of the present invention includes a round container 1, a revolving scraper 2 and a release control 3'. The round container 1 and the revolving scraper 2 are much alike in configuration but differ only in size and trivial parts. The control body 3 1' at the center of the release control 3' is also fixed in the cylinder 21
<Desc/Clms Page number 8>
by means of a locating element 24 and movable upward and downward on the stair- shaped side 211. Besides, the top of the locating element 24 is connected with a bar- shaped actuating body 33' which is located inside of a pipe 26' extending through of the top cover 11. In addition, the actuating body 33' protrudes through the top of the pipe 26'. The top of the pipe 26' is screwed with a rotating disk 27 which brings the pipe 26' into rotation and then the scraping blades 22' will be rotated for releasing the material. The control body 31' is brought by the actuating body 33' in a downward movement for closing the material -releasing grooves 23 or in an upward movement for opening them to scrape down the material by means of the scraping blades 22. The bottom rim of the round container 1 can naturally be fitted with a dismantling bottom cover 14 for sealing when the container is not used.
This embodiment and the previous embodiments are almost alike but differ in the micro-adjustment of the material release. The rising or the sinking of the control body 31' in the material-releasing grooves 23 is adjustable by controlling the vertical position of the actuating body 33'. The higher the control body 31' rises, the larger the opening of the material-releasing grooves 23 will be. In the contrary, the more deeply the control body 31' sinks, the smaller the opening of the material-releasing grooves 23 will be so that the amount of the released material is little. The advantage of this embodiment lies in the micro-adjustment of the amount of the released material. It's very practical and convenient for special needs.
Many changes and modifications in the above-described embodiments of the invention can, of course, be carried out without departing from the scope thereof. Accordingly, to promote the progress in science and the useful arts, the invention is disclosed and is intended to be limited only by the scope of the appended claims.
