Description

2363892 SEPARABLE MOUNTING HAVING A WALL SURFACE WHICH MAY BE FASTENED
THERETO The invention relates to a separable mounting having a wall surface, in particular a poster stand or display wall, which may be fastened to said mounting and has rigid profiles arranged at opposite ends, said profiles being held at a specific distance via clamping elements in a manner permitting elasticity under compression.
Such a mounting is known from DE 298 20 758 3 Ul or from EP 0 231 447 Al, for example In the mountings described therein, the wall surface is made from a flexible foil, which is connected to at least one rigid profile respectively at opposite ends Longitudinal bars, which are elastic under flexion at least over a portion of their length and are inserted into receiving means provided in the profiles, in the simplest case corresponding drilled holes inserted therein, are used as clamping elements A variant of this is described in DE 299 18 911 2, in which ring disc-shaped members are attached at at least two spaced points on each rigid profile, said members having receptacles, preferably drilled holes, on their round outer shell, into which receptacles longitudinal bars, which are elastic under flexion at least over a portion of their length, are inserted as clamping elements, their length being greater than the length of the foil The foil itself has recesses at the points where the ring disc-shaped member is arranged.
It is also known according to the prior art that the rigid profiles are hollow profiles slotted over their entire length, a bar or strip being arranged in their inner cavity to which the foil is fastened The flexurally elastic bars used as clamping elements can be arranged either parallel to one another or also to cross each other.
The object of the present invention is to provide a mounting which allows the wall surfaces or parts of the wall surface to be easily replaced in an easily handled way.
This object is achieved by the separable mounting according to claim 1, which is characterised according to the invention in that belt bands are fastened to the profiles respectively at the ends thereof, the length of said bands being determined by the distance between the profiles, and that the wall surface or several wall surfaces is or are detachably fastened to the belt bands via touch and close fasteners.
In contrast to the variants known from the prior art, all that is necessary for replacement of the wall surface is for the respective touch and close fastener to be released and the wall surface replaced, whereas in the embodiments according to the known publications, the clamping elements used, mostly flexurally elastic bars, must be removed before the flexible wall surface can be released from the profiles and replaced by another flexible profile While according to the prior art, only one complete wall surface, namely the clamped flexible foil, must respectively be replaced, it is possible within the scope of the present invention to arrange several (smaller) wall surfaces one over the other on the respective belt bands so that portions of the whole promotional surface may also be replaced This increases the versatility of the display wall or poster stand.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the wall surface or wall surfaces is or are made of plastic, preferably of foamed plastic panels, polystyrene panels, for example, being possible here The advantage of such panels is that they have a relatively low weight, which substantially facilitates handling The wall surfaces can be printed (as promotional displays) or have foils, posters or similar glued to them, or be written upon or have promotional posters fastened by means of clips or other fastening elements.
The touch and close fasteners preferably comprise strips, which may be respectively fastened adhesively to one another and which are attached to corresponding points on the belt bands (on the front side) and of the wall surface (on the reverse side) In a defined configuration, adhesive strips are respectively glued on the reverse side to the wall surfaces at the distance of the belt bands Such adhesive strips are preferably fastened to the belt bands so as to be detachable, which in the simplest case may be achieved by utilising the adhesive capability of the strips themselves and fastening the strips, which are adhesive on both sides, to the belt bands at a suitable height This enables the respective adhesive strips to be attached to the belt bands at distances corresponding to the size of the wall surfaces used.
According to a further configuration of the invention, it is also possible to configure one of the wall surfaces, which is preferably used as the upper wall surface, as a support for one or more lamps The respective wall surface can then be fitted in the form of a strip with mountings for lighting means, which also accommodate the power supply Alternatively, it is also possible to use a bow-shaped mounting, which is detachably fastened to an upper profile This bow-shaped mounting preferably comprises a curved flat member, at one end of which the lighting means is fastened and its other end being configured in a hook shape to hold the upper rigid profile and one of the clamping elements, namely a flexurally elastic bar, at the rear For this purpose, the flat profile has a recess at its lower end, into which the clamping element is inserted from the side The clamping element thus acts as an abutment for the curved flat member.
Moreover, in a manner known fundamentally from the prior art, each of the rigid profiles can be configured as a slotted hollow profile, so that the belt bands used can be inserted into the slots from the side Thickened portions of the belt bands at the ends or bars sewn into them there or similar ensure that the belt band can be fastened in the rigid profile with tensile strength.
Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings:
Figure 1 is a rear view of a first embodiment of a separable mounting; Figure 2 is a side view of the mounting according to Figure Figure 3 is a front view of a further embodiment of the mounting according to the invention; Figure 4 is a schematic perspective view of a further embodiment of a separable mounting; Figure 5 is a perspective view of a bow-shaped mounting as support for a lighting means; Figure 6 is a front view of a further embodiment of the mounting according to the invention; and Figure 7 is a side view of the mounting according to Figure 6.
The essential components of the separable mounting according to the invention are the rigid profiles 11, 12, the clamping elements 13, 14 and the belt bands 15, 16, which in total constitute the basic frame for the panel-type wall surfaces 17, 18, 19 and 20 (see Figure 2) Instead of the foil used in DE 298 20 758 3 Ul, which is clamped between the rigid profiles 11, 12, according to the present invention the belt bands 15, 16 are clamped by means of clamping elements 13, 14.
Adhesive strips 21 glued to the reverse side to the wall surfaces on one side and adhesive strips 22 which are fastened to the belt bands 15, 16 on the other side serve to fasten the wall surfaces 17 to 20 The adhesive strips 21 and 22 form the touch and close fastener, which enables release of the wall surfaces 17 to 20 made of a foamed plastic The adhesive strips 22, which are fastened to the belt bands 15, 16, may also be respectively released and be fastened in accordance with the size of the wall surface 17 to 20 and in accordance with the desired attachment location, i e at the desired height If required, individual wall surfaces 17 to 20 may be released and replaced by other wall surfaces.
The belt bands 15 and 16 are inserted laterally into the rigid profiles 11 and 12 at the end, which are configured as slotted hollow profiles, in which case thickened portions on the ends of the belt bands have a larger diameter than the slot width so that the belt band can be supported in the profiles with tensile strength The clamping elements 13 and 14 can comprise continuous elastic longitudinal bars However, to allow the separable mounting to be transported more easily, a scissor- like connection piece 23, which respectively serves as a sleeve at the end to receive the longitudinal bars 13 and 14, is selected according to the embodiment shown in Figure 1 The connection piece 23 can be configured as a scissor-like joint so that it can be spread or drawn together to the desired degree depending on the angle position relative to one another the longitudinal bars 13 and 14 are to be set at The longitudinal bars 13 and 14 are respectively inserted into drilled holes in profiles 11, 12 or in drilled holes of ring disc-shaped members which are attached onto the profiles 11 and 12 Reference is made to DE 299 18 911 2 U 1 with respect to this embodiment.
Figure 3 shows a further embodiment, in which, in contrast to the embodiment according to Figure 1 and Figure 2, the clamping elements 13, 14 used are arranged parallel to one another (and not crossed) The clamping elements 13, 14 can be configured as single-piece flexible longitudinal bars or comprise multiple pieces, whereby in the latter case respective sleeves act as connection pieces.
In the embodiment shown in Figure 2, a support 24 is used which is connected to the connection element 23.
Alternatively, it is possible in accordance with the embodiment shown in Figure 4 to plug together four rigid profiles 25, 26, 27 and 28 in the rectangular shape shown to form a stand surface, whereby the rigid profiles 25 and 26 have a slotted configuration in a corresponding manner to the rigid profile 12 according to Figure 1 and 2 These rigid profiles 25 and 26 serve to fasten the belts 15 and 16 at the end side, which are clamped in the roof-like shape shown by means of clamping elements 13 and 14 The clamping elements 13 and 14 hold the rigid profile 11 at a distance from the stand frame comprising profiles 25 to 28 In place of the scissorlike connection element 23, a round disc 34 is used in the present case, which has drilled holes at the round shell surfaces to receive the longitudinal bars 13, 14 The mounting according to Figure 4 has the advantage that it can be fitted with wall panels 17 to 20 on the front or reverse side.
Fastening of the wall panels is achieved in the same way by means of touch and close fasteners 21, 22 to the belt bands 15, 16.
It is frequently desirable for the wall surfaces to be illuminated This can be achieved, for example, by fastening a mounting for lamps or other lighting means to an upper wall panel 17 on the front side.
Alternatively, it is possible to use the bow-shaped mounting 29 according to Figure 5, which comprises a curved flat member, at the upper end 30 of which the required lighting means is fastened This flat profile has a hollow throat 31, the radius of which corresponds approximately to the outside diameter of the upper rigid profile 11 In addition, the mounting 29 has a lower bent arm 32 with a recess 33, which has a side opening which is larger than the diameter of the clamping elements, 13, 14 used The clamping element 13, 14 according to Figure 3 is inserted laterally into the opening 33 Through the widened recess located behind this, the bow- shaped mounting 29 tilts slightly forwards so that the clamping element 13 or 14 cannot slip out to the side The bow-shaped mounting, like a wall surface 17 fitted with a lighting arrangement, is detachably connected to the mounting in a simple manner so that it may be removed or easily attached again at any time when required.
With respect to the rigid profiles, the clamping elements, the connection elements 23, 34 and other supports, reference is made to the above-mentioned publications, in which further variants are described to which reference is expressly made.
All these variants may be transferred to the present invention accordingly, in which case there is only the difference according to the invention that, in place of the flexible foil, which is clamped between the profiles 11, 12 or 25, 26, 11, two (or possibly more) belt bands 15, 16 are respectively used, to which removable wall surfaces can be fastened by means of respective touch and close fasteners The wall surfaces can be rigid, or also flexible foils, which are then fastened via a touch and close fastener in a corresponding manner Textile bands are preferably used as belt bands, which enable adhesive strips 22 to be fastened and released simply.
In a further embodiment of the invention and as shown in Figures 6 and 7 it is also possible in the case of narrow poster stands or display walls to use only one flexurally elastic bar 13 as a simple clamping element instead of the two clamping elements shown in Figure 3 This flexurally elastic clamping element can then comprise several individual bars 131, 132, 133 which are plugged together and connected by means of sleeves 35, 37 Additionally the sleeve 35 has a recess for inserting a post 36 Alternatively, other constructions as supporting devices can be mounted to the sleeve 35 or clamped onto the bar 13.
