Abstract

A Shelving Display Clip is a sprung steel wire clip in a variety of finishes e.g. zinc plated, plastic coated, anodized, chromed, etc. It is of an individual shape with a sprung wire leg 10. The leg 11 together with the gripping leg 10, allows it to secure itself onto any thickness of shelf whatever the material, e.g. glass or timber, without any other aid. It can be positioned conveniently at any point on a shelf so that it can hold signs/documents of various thicknesses in suspension or in an upright position. The signs/documents are held in place by the coils of a spring, diameter to suit purpose, incorporated in the clip 12. A circular disc 18 of any suitable material could be inserted into the sprung wire coil 12, if so required. The upright leg 13 allows the sign/document to lean against it for stability.

DESCRIPTION

SHELVING DISPLAY CLIP This invention relates to a shelving display clip made of sprung steel wire which is self supporting, has the ability to hold any size documents in an upright or suspended position in any convenient position on a shelf Other display holders are often of plastic construction and normally need some form of adhesion or mechanical fixing They are often designed so that they have to be attached to the entire shelf and with glass shelves attachment is not always practical.

Choice of display holders specifically for shelves is limited and they are often aesthetically poor Most display holders are restricted to accept one size and thickness of sign/document and they can often only display in one position.

The object of this invention is to provide a shelving display clip that is self supporting, can be positioned anywhere on the shelf, is not dependent on the size or material ofthe shelf; is unobtrusive, is robust, reusable, and can display signs/documents of any size or thickness in an upright or suspended position.

The Shelving Display Clip is made of sprung steel wire of varying thickness dependant upon size and scale that secures itself independently onto any thickness of material whilst displaying signs/documents by means of a sprung wire coil integral to the clip The sprung wire coil can also hold a circular disc of any suitable material which can be aesthetic or display a logo for example The sprung steel wire can be coated in a variety of finishes.

FIGURE 5 shows the perspective view of the whole clip attached to a shelf with a document in the upright position.

As shown in FIGURE 2 the pulling apart of sprung legs 10 and 11 allows the clip to be positioned on the shelf As shown in FIGURE 2, the design and structure ofthe leg 10, which is in tension when pulled apart, together with the design and structure of the "S" leg, FIGURE 4, 11 allows the clip to clamp onto the shelf and hence the item becomes independently stable.

As shown in FIGURE 1 the sprung wire coil 12 allows documents of any size and thickness to be held securely dependent upon the scale of the clip.

As shown in FIGURE 1 the upright structure of 13 assists in holding the document upright.

As shown in FIGURE 3 and FIGURE 4 the ends ofthe legs 10 and 11 are covered with a gripping material e g, rubber 16 and 17.

As shown in FIGURE 5 a circular disc 18 of any material can be inserted to fit into the sprung wire coil 12.

The clip has many uses in the retail display environment The display of prices and descriptions of goods in a shop with glass shelves would be a good example.

Claims

1 A Shelving Display Clip ("S Clip") is a sprung steel wire designed in a certain shape so that it secures itself independently onto any thickness of material whilst displaying signs/documents by means of a sprung wire coil integral to the clip.

2 A Shelving Display Clip as claimed in claim 1 can be of any practical size but must keep its intrinsic shape and scale.

3 A Shelving Display Clip as claimed in claim 1 can be positioned onto the shelf so that the documents/signs can be displayed in an upright or suspended position in the sprung wire coil.

4 A Shelving Display Clip as claimed in claim 1 has a sprung wire coil integrated in the overall design that holds signage/documents The diameter can be variable.

A Shelving Display Clip as claimed in claim 1 and claim 4 can hold documents of different thickness.

6 A Shelving Display Clip as claimed in claim 1 enables documents/signs to be changed easily.

7 A Shelving Display Clip as claimed in claim 1 dependent upon its size and scale will be of varying thickness of sprung steel wire.

8 A Shelving Display Clip as claimed in claim 1 is unobtrusive.

9 A Shelving Display Clip as claimed in claim 1 is reusable.

A Shelving Display Clip as claimed in claim 1 can hold a circular disc of any suitable material inserted into the sprung wire coil as in claim 3.
