Abstract
The invention relates to a method, device and communication protocol for facilitating communication between private telecommunication network exchanges (10), which are interconnected by an intervening network (20). The method, device and protocol allow the signalling at a Q-reference point in a private telecommunication network exchange device to be unchanged by means of using a mapping function to obtain an interconnecting link between the Q-points in at least two such devices thereby establishing user information channels.
