Abstract

236,132. Loyd, C. E. March 16, 1925. Tees.-A golf tee comprises a supporting-pin for insertion in the ground, surmounted by a resilient ball-support consisting of a rubber or like cap formed with resilient prongs, or of an annular brush support, which fits over the upper end of the pin and engages at its lower end against a shoulder formed on the supporting pin. As shown in Fig. 3, the ball is supported on the outwardly-directed fingers 16 of a soft rubber cap 15. The cap fits over a pin 10 as far as a shoulder 13. In a modification, Fig. 4, the tee consists of a cone 23 of bristles secured to the supporting-pin by a rubber ring 24, assisted if desired by glue or cement.
