Abstract

Beneath the liquid crystal display 10 is a dark illuminating piece 16, for example fluorescent material. This absorbs and then emits ambient light, reducing demand on the light sources 15. Light from these sources is guided to the liquid crystal by the light guide 13 and divergent piece 14. The liquid crystal display 10 is connected to the circuit board 12 by the bank wire 11.

Description

1 2361087 DARK ILLUMINATING PIECE OF LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY IN
COMMUNICATION DEVICES
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a dark illuminating piece of a liquid crystal display used in communication device, and especially to a dark illuminating piece used in the liquid crystal display, thereby, the power is unnecessary to be updated frequently.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The liquid crystal displays (LCD) are frequently used in pagers, mobile phones, and other communication devices. In general, as the communication devices are used at night, the light emitting diode and other light source are necessary. Thereby, the user may clearly see what displayed on the liquid crystal display. But, the light emitting diode wastes much power. If it is used frequently, the power consumption is large.
Therefore, the prior art liquid crystal display has many defects in practical usage which are necessary to be improved.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
Accordingly, the primary object of the present invention is to provide a dark illuminating piece of a liquid crystal display of a 1 communication device. 1 n the present invention, a dark illuminating piece is installed at a bottom of a liquid crystal displaying plate, the dark illuminating piece is located between the liquid crystal displaying plate and the divergent piece, the dark illuminating piece absorbs light and then emit light. By the aforesaid structure, power can be saved without needing to updating battery frequently. Consequently, the present invention has improved the quality of the liquid crystal display of prior art communication devices. In defects in the present invention, such as power-consuming, and energy consuming of the light source is saved.
The various objects and advantages of the present invention will be more readily understood from the following detailed description when read in conjunction with the appended drawing.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig, 1 is an assembled perspective view of the present invention.
Fig. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the present invention.
Fig. 3) is a partial cross sectional view of the present invention.
Fig. 4 is perspective view showing that the present invention is applied to a pager.
2 DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
With reference to Figs. 1, 2, and 3, the assembled perspective view, exploded perspective view and the partial cross sectional view of the present invention are illustrated. The present invention provides a dark illuminating piece, such a fluorescent piece, used in communication devices, especially used in pagers, mobile phones, and other communication devices. The liquid crystal display (LCD) of the communication product includes a liquid crystal displaying plate 10 which is connected to a circuit board 12 through a bank wire 11 so that the liquid crystal displaying plate 10 can present a desired function.
The lower side of the liquid crystal displaying plate 10 has a light guide 13 with a proper width. The light guide 13 is fixed to the circuit board 12. The top of the light guide 13 has a divergent piece 14. Two sides of the light guide 131 are installed with light sources 15, such as light emitting diode. The light source 15 lights up, and the light passes through the light guide 13 to be divergent through the divergent piece 14 to illuminate the whole section so that the user can clearly see the display of the liquid crystal displaying plate 10 in dark or at night with a weak illumination. Therefore, the aforesaid structure is identical to that in the prior art, and is not confined in the scope of the present invention.
Therefore, the detail thereof will not be described further.
3 In the present invention, the bottom of the liquid crystal displaying plate 10, i.e. the place between the liquid crystal displaying plate 10 and the divergent piece 16, is provided with a dark illuminating piece 16 which can absorb light from outer environment, such as, from sun, lamps, etc, and then it can emit light further. Since the general used liquid crystal displaying plate 10 is transparent, the dark illuminating piece 16 absorbs light and then emit light by itself. The dark illuminating piece 16 can emit light, and thereby, the user may see what displayed on the liquid crystal displaying plate 10. By the installing of the dark illuminating piece 16, and there"fore, other.than light source 15, a further light source is provided to the user. Thus, by the dark illuminating piece 16, the power of the light source 15 is saved. The battery is seldom updated.
Referring to Fig. 4, a perspective view showing that the present invention is used in a pager. It is shown that the present invention can be used in a pager 20 or other communication product.
Consequently, the present invention has improved the quality of the liquid crystal display of prior art communication devices. In defects in the present invention, such as power-consuming. and energy consuming of the light source is saved.
Although the present invention has been described with reference to the preferred embodiments, it will be understood that the invention is not limited to the details described thereof. Various substitutions 4 and modifications have been suggested in the foregoing description, and others will occur to those of ordinary skill in the art. Therefore, all such substitutions and modifications are intended to be embraced within the scope of the invention as defined in the appended claims.
