Abstract

A disposable glove has an independent seal 6. The disposable glove can be manufactured and packaged independently or on a roll of say PVC/vinyl substance, or latex for medical requirements, with perforations imprinted on each glove during the manufacturing process, enabling the user to tear the glove out of the sheet easily. The seal, which is independent of the glove, can be manufactured of say Velcro (R.T.M.), and can be dyed and shaped to co-ordinate with any pattern/motif/colour which is printed on the disposable glove. The disposable glove can be printed on and scented. The disposable glove can have moisturisers added to it.

Description

2358122 DISPOSABLE GLOVE WITH DISPENSER
DESCRIPTION
Background of the Invention
The present invention relates to PVC/vinyl gloves and in particular to disposable PVC gloves used in household chores for example, cleaning, washing up, preparation of food in the home and commercial market place, painting, as well as light gardening C1 work and general maintenance work. These gloves are mainly used for protection against dirt, water, transfer of bacteria and dangerous materials.
Although 'household' gloves are widely used to protect the wearer's hands they are not disposable and they tend to leave an odour on the hands which is unpleasant for the wearer.
Unless made of latex as with medical gloves, they do not fit round the wrist of the wearer's hands, hence enabling liquid to enter during usage, which defeats the object of wearing a glove for protection.
At present disposable gloves tend to use an ineffectual seal such as string, in which to seal the said glove. This is fiddly and inefficient.
Disposable gloves that are in the market place at present tend to be packaged in a bag Z:1 or box, which means that bacteria from the users hands can be transferred onto the outside of the gloves when putting on the gloves. It is also difficult to select a glove C) t) because disposable gloves are made of such thin material.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
There is a need for a disposable glove which has an independent fastener which can be easily attached by the wearer and which can be easily adjusted to fit the wearer's wrist.
(p -17 M.) The option of the seal to be made of such a material as vIcro is strong, water resistant and totally flexible.
The ability to be able to apply scent to the glove so masking the smell of the PVC/vinyl may be preferred on occasion.
The ability to be able to print onto the said glove, for example cartoon characters for children, football team motifs for men and flowers for women, may also be preferred on occasion.
As a consequence of the above option, the seal can be dyed and shaped to fit the theme of the disposable glove, for example crayon pattern on the glove, with a coloured crayon velcro as a seal.
The ability to manufacture disposable gloves and dispense on a roll with perforations for the hand shape, if desired. Perforations could also be added near the wrist area, enabling the seal to be fed through for greater stability, if required.
The advantages of the above disposable glove are that they would be hygienic to use, whilst providing protection for the hand and enabling less sizes to be manufactured, 0 C1 possibly one adult and one child size. This is because the seal strap is independent of the glove and can be adjusted by each individual wearer to fit perfectly.
Being made of a non-latex substance and possibly scented on occasion will rid the wearer of the glove of the lingering smell on the hand and allow users who are allergic to latex to wear protective covering for the hands.
C As the gloves would be made of PVC/vinyl substance and are not intended for heavy industrial or for use in hospital surgery where protection is of the utmost importance, tD they would be cheap to manufacture.
As only one or two straps would be needed per roll or box - depending on packaging, this again would seriously reduce the cost of manufacture.
The proposed dispensing unit for the disposable gloves is a cheap and easy method to separate the gloves so enabling for example, individuals who are responsible for the preparation of food substances, to put on the disposable gloves without passing on any bacterium or germs from one glove to the next. It would also mean that the gloves are quick and easy to put on.
The advantages of the proposed invention are obvious. The disposable glove with seal solves the following problems:
Leakage of liquids into hand when wearing cheap, disposable gloves by the use of an independently applied seal Encouragement of use of gloves by making them 'fun' to wear with motifs, colours etc Allergy to latex gloves Lingering smell left on hands by disposable glove Passing on of germs, odours, etc whilst putting on a pair of gloves Expensive manufacture process, because the gloves can be manufactured on a roll with the seal made separately Brief Description of the Drawings
