Abstract

A calibration instrument consists of a tape that may be made from paper or other soft, flexible material. The tape has an adhesive back and is marked with calibrated measurements to allow for use in difficult to reach areas. The measurements may be distance or degree and are printed or fixed to the surface of the tape. The tape may be cut and joined to any length and may be adhered to any shape or contour in any direction to be used as a reference. The tape may be left permanently applied to a surface or may be removed after use.
