Abstract
The equipment holder is made up of strips of metal or similar materials joined together to form a frame with brackets A1, A2 attached to it and is secured to the body of welding machines (e.g. Mig / Tig) so that their cables, safety equipment and accessories can be stored easily, safely and quickly.
Description
2354195 EQUIPMENT HOLDER FOR WELDING MACHINES In industrial premises,
garages and workshops where welding machines are used, (e.g. transportable Mig and Tig welders) there is no specific place within the welding machine to store safety equipment/accessories and other components (power cable, earth wire, welding guh and its cable, welding shield, etc.) easily, safely and quickly.
Most often, welding cables and other accessories are piled up on top of the Mig welders or simply left around them on the floor which is often driven over by cars, walked over by workers, or rolled over by other equipment. This can create:
1. An unsafe and dangerous working environment.
2. It can drastically reduce the life of the welding component and equipment, thus, effecting the performance of the welding machines and the quality of the welding. 3. To re-use the welding machine it is often time consuming to sort out and untangling the cables.
4. Because of lack of proper storage for all the welding equipment and components, transporting the welding machines from one end of the workshop to another can be a difficult task and a time consuming procedure.
To overcome the above problems, a number of strips made from metal or similarly strong materials are assembled together and fixed onto the welding machine in order to form a structure, where all the vital cables, safety equipment and other accessories can be stored easily, safely and quickly.
The invention will now be further described with reference to the accompanying (page 5) drawings in which:
Fig 1 shows the side view of the equipment holder already assembled together and fixed onto the Mig welding machine with its cables and welding shield hung from it.
2 Fig 2 shows the view of the equipment holder from above where Al and A2 brackets are fixed to the front and the A3 and A4 brackets are fixed to the back of strip "B".
Fig 3 shows the front view of the equipment holder and the shape of the "A" brackets.
Fig 4 shows the side view of the equipment holder where strip "B" is fixed to strip "C" and "D" to form a frame and the "A" brackets are fixed to strip "B". To make it complete, the equipment holder can then be fixed onto a welding machine where all the cables, safety equipment and accessories can then be stored effortlessly and quickly.
To one skilled in the art, the following would be obvious and therefore included within the scope of protection.
1. All parts of the equipment holder can be made from metal or any other reasonably strong materials 2. All parts of the equipment holder can be fixed together and onto the welding machines in a number of ways, e.g. nut and bolted, riveted, slipped in or welded together.
3. Depending on the shape, size or structure of the welding machines, the equipment holder can be adapted in length and size so that strips "C" and "D" can be secured to the front and back of the machine (length wise) or from the left hand to the right hand side of the machine (width wise).
4. All the "X' brackets can be made in different shapes and sizes, also the number of "A7' brackets can be decreased or increased. Extra "A7 brackets can be attached to strips "C" and "D" in order to store more safety equipment, e.g. goggles, gloves, ear muffs or a small fire extinguisher for emergencies.

Claims (4)
1. The equipment holder is comprised of strips of metal or similar materials joined together to form storage for welding machine's (e.g. Nfig/Tig welders) cables, safety equipment and other accessories.
2. The equipment holder, as claimed in claims "I" and "2" can be made from a number of strips (metal or any other reasonably strong material); all parts of the equipment holder can be fixed together and secured on to the welding machines in a number of ways, e.g. nut and bolted, riveted, slide in or welded together.
3. The equipment holder, as claimed in claim "Y' is quite versatile and depending on the shape, size or structure of the welding machines, it can be adapted in length, width or size so that it can be suitably secured to the welding machines.
4. The brackets of the equipment holder, as claimed in claim "4" can be made in a variety of shapes and sizes to suite the requirements of the different components, equipment and accessories; extra brackets could also be attached to the front and the back strips in order to store more safety equipment, e.g. goggles, gloves, ear muffs or a small fire extinguisher for emergencies.
