Abstract

An attachment for vacuum cleaners of the type having a hose, comprises a transparent cylindrical housing, which can be connected in-line in the hose, and which contains a filter to remove items such as pet hair which tend to clog up the main dust bag and cause damage to the motor. The housing is made of two parts which are screwed together, and on one of which the filter is mounted.

Description

1 2353942 Vacuum Cleaner Saver This invention relates to a vacuum cleaner
saver.
This is a unique vacuum system saver, comprising of a filter. Improving the air filtration, to save the dust bag and motor. Easy to fit the sealed filter. 99.9% dust retention - Disposable filter. 99.9% Vac motor filter for a lifetime vac saver.
Any vacuum cleaner are relatively expensive. When frequently used, the motor burns out, due to excessive dust and pet hair.
According to the present invention, provided this particular vac saver is utilised, it will prevent damage to the motor.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by reference to the accompanying drawing in which:
Master Figure Shows in perspective the vac with the transparent vac saver in position for use.
Figure 1 illustrates the transparent cylinder.
Figure 2: Shows the cylinder "A" with the lid "C" open showing the heavy duty filter "B".
Referring to the drawing the vac saver comprises of a transparent cylinder Fig I - "A". In order to attach it to the vacuum cleaner, it is very simple. Join the pipe to the cylinder, this will be in between the two vacuum pipes. To clean the cylinder saver, unscrew the two parts of the cylinder "A" & "C", and empty the filter "B" and all the dust. This dust will never reach the vacuum's motor and you will never run out of spare bags. This invention can be used for domestic and commercial purposes.

2. A vacuum cleaner saver substantially as hereinbefore described and shown in the dra"wings.
2. The Vacuum Cleaner Saver, to empty the cylinder as claimed in Claim (1) unscrew the two parts and clean it.
3. The Vacuum Cleaner Saver as claimed in Claim (1) and Claim (2) wherein the attachment means is provided on the full body with the filter part glached.
4, The Vacuum Cleaner Saver substantially as described herein with reference Figures 1/2 of the accompanying drawing.
I.
Amendments to the claims have been filed as follows 1. A vacuum cleaner saver containing a filter element, for connection in line in the hose of a vacuum cleaner, the vacuum cleaner saver comprising two parts wherein:
(i) the first part comprises an elongate transparent cylindrical main body open at both ends, one end having a reduced diameter and being sized for connection to a vacuum cleaner hose and the other ended being threaded for attachment to a second part; (ii) the second part being a lid member having a short cylindrical wall and a circular end wall, the cylindrical wall being threaded for attachment to the first part, the end wall having an aperture..nd, extending from the opposite side to the cylindrical wall, a short length of tube surrounding said aperture and sized for attachment to the hose of a vacuum cleaner, and wherein the cylindrical wall also has an inwardly radially extending circumferential flange spaced from the end wall to form a circumferential gap in which is mounted said filter element.
