Abstract

A timing device can switch off the power supply to an amusement machine after a preset period of time. The timing period can be initiated by way of a keyswitch or remote control device and a visual or audible indication may be given to a user of how much of the timing period remains. The visual indication may include a row of lights that are extinguished one by one.

invention relates to a Automatic Turning Off Device For Amusement Machines.
in establishments which contain Amusement Machines, it is quite often the case that the management of such establishments have a problem in persuading customers to finish playing their games on these machines, before the closing time of the establishment.
According to the present invention there is provided a device which is attached to or near to the Amusement machine, the device is a timing device, which when the Manager of the establishment wants the customer to finish playing their games on the Amusement Machine, the Manager would initiate a timing sequence by way of a keyswitch or remote control device, which would automatically turn off the use of the Amusement machine, after a set period of time without further intervention of the Manager. A visual or audible indication is given to the customer to let them know approximately how much time is left for them to finish playing their games, before the use of the machine is automatically switched off.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which:- Figure 1. Shows example position of where the Automatic Turning Off Device For Amusement Machines can be fitted.

The Automatic Turning Off Device For Amusement Machines, would be a electronic device which would be connected into the Mains supply line of the Amusement machine, The device which is enclosed in a suitable housing is attached to the top of, or near to the Amusement machine. The device would have a row of lights on it, visible to the customer, which when the timing device is activated, count down the time left by extinguishing the lights one by one, to show the relative amount of time left to the customer, before the Amusement machine is automatically switched off. A suitable switching component within the device would disconnect the power to the Amusement machine at the end of the timing period.

  1. CLAIM
    A electronic device which when activated by the Management of establishments which contain Amusement Machines, Automatically turns off the use of the Amusement Machine at the end of a preset timing period.
