Abstract

The first aspect of the present invention relates to an electrophoresis unit wherein one of the electrodes of the unit is attached to the lid (3). The second aspect of the present invention relates to an electrode support (5) for use in an electrophoresis unit. The third aspect of the present invention relates to an electrophoresis unit comprising a plate for receiving a gel-matrix which is resiliently mounted within a base (1) of the electrophoresis unit. The present invention also provides a frame (41) for stacking two or more eletrophoresis units wherein the frame provides power to each electrophoresis unit from a single power source.
