Condenser telephones and other electrostatic instruments. - A telephone receiver consists of a conductive disc 5 and a semi-conductive disc 4 in contact, to which the leads of the circuit are connected. The surface of the disc 4 remote, from the disc 5 may be coated uniformly with conductive material. Two or more separated semi-conductive discs may be used. The semi-conductive disc mav be mounted on an adjustable support 6 to vary the contact pressure.
