Abstract

The device comprises a hollow cylindrical housing 6 having attached at one end an axle 2 for mounting in the chuck of an electric drill. The handle of the paint brush is inserted in the hollow cylinder and is held in place by a number of set screws 1 which are threaded through the wall of the cylinder. The brush, having been soaked in cleaning solvent, is then spun at high speed eg within the confines of a cardboard box, to remove the paint and solvent.

THEN BY INSERTING THE BRUSH HANDLE CENTRALLY INSIDE THE CYLINDER AND SECURING THE FOUR SECURING BOLTS. SPINNING THE BRUSH IN THE DEVICE ATTACHED TO DRILL FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME. THE DISSOLVED PAINT AND THE SOLVENT WILL BE EXPELLED FROM THE BRUSH LEAVING IT CLEAN AND DRY TO BE USED STRAIGHT AWAY IF DESIRED. ALSO TO PREVENT PANIT AND SOLVENT FROM SPRAYING PARTICLES ALL OVER IT'S BEST TO SPIN THE DEVICE IN A CONTAINER SUCH AS A CARDBOARD BOX SO AS TO CONFINE THE PARTICLES TO THE INTERIOR OF THE BOX. THE DEVICE ITSELF DOES NOT REQUIRE ANY SORT OF CLEANING AFTER IT HAS BEEN USED CAN BE STORED AWAY.

  1. CLAIM
    DEVICE FOR CLEANING PAINT BRUSH COMPRISES OF HOLLOW CYLINDER WHICH IS ATTACHED TO LENGTH OF AXLE ON ONE END AND ONE FREE END 2/ HOLLOW CYLINDER CLEMED IN (1) WHERE THE BRUSH HANDLE WILL BE SECURED CENTRALLY 3/ AXLE CLIMED IN ( 1),(2) ALSO HAS THREAD ON ONE END WITH WHICH BOLTS ARE USED TO SECURE THE CYLINDER (SEE DRAWING FACTSBEET 6 Fig ( 1 3, Fig 2) TO THE AXLE 4/ THE FREE END OF AXLE CLIMED IN 1) WHICH WILL BE USED TO ATTCH THE DEVICE TO CHUCK OF AN ELECTRIC DRILL (SEE DRAWING FACTSHEET (6) Fig (1) 1) 51 THE CYLINDER CLIMED 1. N (1), (2) ALSO HAS BOLTS TO HOLD THE BRUSH HANDLE FIRMLY INSIDE THE CYLINDER (SEE DRAWING FACTSBEET 6 Fig (1) 5) 6/ THE DEVICE AS CLIMED IN ANY PROCEEDING CLIAM WHICH COULD BE MADE FROM METAL, PLASTICES OR WOOD MATERIALS OR FROM THE COMBINATION OF THESE MATERIALS.
