Abstract

The invention relates to a method of stimulating an oil/gas well, wherein liquid is ejected under pressure at production formation, and wherein material flushed loose by hydraulic impact is discharged from the bore hole. The density of the ejected liquid and the counter-pressure exerted on the surface are in this context preferably determined to ensure that the material flushed loose can be conveyed exactly to the bore hole opening at the surface. The invention further relates to an apparatus for exercising the method, wherein this apparatus comprises a nozzle head (2); a pipe string (1) for the supply of liquid to the nozzle head; and means (7) for the supply of pressurised liquid to the pipe string (1). Advantageously means (8) are provided for exerting a counter-pressure on the liquid flowing out of the bore hole.
