Abstract

A mobile phone holder has a back pad 1, with a mobile phone belt clip receptacle 2, to be worn on the users chest or upper body. Adjustable straps 3 and movable lower strap belt clip 4 allows adjustment of the holder's position on the user's chest or upper body.

Description

UPPER BODY MOBILE PHONE HOLDER.
This invention relates to an Upper Body Mobile Phone Holder.
Mobile Phones are purchased with clips, as an accessory, which are designed to attach the Mobile Phone to a waist belt.
This attachment has several problems for the wearer. The Mobile phone is liable to be knocked against waist height objects, the Mobile Phone often detaches from the belt when bending down, particularly when entering and exiting a motor vehicle, and phones often dig into the body of the wearer when sitting down. This leads to most users resorting to carrying the Mobiles by hand resulting in mislaid or lost devices.
According to the present invention there is provided a Mobile Phone Holder designed to be worn on the upper body or chest of the wearer utilising the existing Mobile Phone belt clip thereby removing the need to create a pouch or pocket. As the Mobile Phone is positioned on the upper body or chest of the user the above mentioned problems are eliminated.
Also as the existing Mobile Phone belt clips are utilised, to attach the Mobile Phone to the holder, any phone from any manufacturer can be accommodated.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: Figure 1 shows the complete Mobile Phone Holder as worn by the user.
Figure 2 to Figure 4 shows front, top and side views of the Holder.
Figure 5 shows the side view of the holder with a Mobile Phone attached.
Referring to the drawing the Mobile Phone Holder comprises of a back pad 1 with a Mobile Phone belt clip receptacle 2.
The pad is held in place on the user's body by the adjustable upper and lower straps 3 along with belt clip 4. The upper strap is worn around the user's neck and the lower strap is attached to the user's waist belt via belt clip 4.
The adjustment of the straps along with the position of the lower strap belt clip 4 allows the Mobile Phone Holder to be positioned almost anywhere across the user's chest.
The front, top and side views of the Mobile Phone Holder are shown in figures 2, 3 and 4 for clarification. Figure 5 shows the Mobile Phone in position.

Claims (3)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A Mobile Phone Holder to be worn on the upper body or chest of the user utilising the existing Mobile Phone belt clip.
  2. 2. A Mobile Phone Holder as claimed in claim 1 which does not require the use of a pouch or pocket in which to place the Mobile Phone.
  3. 3. A Mobile Phone Holder as claimed in Claim 1 and Claim 2, wherein adjustable straps, along with positional lower strap belt clip, allows adjustment of the Mobile Phone Holders position on the users upper body or chest.
