Abstract

A decorative toy lamp structure comprises front and rear shell halves 3 and 4 and the shell halves are provided with a plurality of short pin sets 5 for securing light bulb holders 2 of a miniature light bulb series in position. The two shell halves may be joined by retaining pins (31) in one half being located in corresponding openings 41 in the other half.

Description

i II'LE : DECORATIVE TOY LAMP STRUCTURE BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Figure 1 shows a prior art toy lamp structure, which can be hung in a place to provide a decorative effect. The shell of the toy lamp (1) is made of semitransparent materials and is provided on the top with a light bulb holder (2). A light bulb mounted on the holder (2) extends into the shell of the toy lamp. When the light bulb is lit on, light beams pass through the shell and make the toy lamp become a shining object, achieving a decorative purpose. However, such a design can not give the toy lamp sufficient brightness due to only one light bulb disposed inside the shell body of the toy lamp. The decorative effect often does not satisfy users'needs. In addition, the connection between the light bulb holder (2) and the shell of the toy lamp (1) is not strong enough. When the toy lamp is hung in a high place as a decorative article, the light bulb holder might get out of position. Therefore, it is desirable to have an improvement made on the prior art toy lamp structure.
In view of the above shortcomings of conventional toy lamp structure, the primary object of the invention is to provide an improved decorative toy lamp structure in which the deficiencies of a conventional structure have been eliminated and that can provide a reinforced decorative effect. Now the features and advantages of the invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS Figure t is a perspective view of a prior art decorative toy lamp.
Figure 2 is a perspective view of the improved decorative toy lamp structure according to the present invention.
Figure 3 is an exploded view of the decorative toy lamp of figure 2.
Figure 4 is a partial cross sectional view of the decorative toy lamp according to the invention.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS With reference to figures 2 through 4, the invention provides an improved decorative toy lamp that comprises a front shell half (3) and a rear shell half (4). The rear shell half (4) has a few of connection openings (41) formed on the mating face.
The front shell half (3) is provided with retaining pins (31) on the mating face in positions corresponding to the connection openings (41) of the rear shell half (4) as shown in figure 4. The two shell halves can mate with each other to form a completed semitransparent toy model.
The toy lamp of the present invention is featured by a plurality of short pin sets (5) disposed on the interior wall of the shell halves (3) and (4). These short pin sets (5) provide the coupling means to secure light bulb holders (2) in position. Thus a light bulb series can extend into the toy model and the shell body of the toy model can accommodate a plurality of miniature light bulbs (21) and holders (2). When in use, a plurality of miniature light bulbs (21) simultaneously illuminate to produce greater brightness. Evidently the toy lamp according to the present invention can reach a better visual effect that can not be obtained from a conventional toy lamp structure.
Another advantage of the present invention consists in the coupling means used to connect the light bulb series with the decorative toy model. The coupling means according to the present invention use short pin sets (5) to secure light bulb holders (2) and so it has better strength without a risk of dropping out of position. Thus the invention can get rid of the shortcomings existing in conventional structures. While only one embodiment of the present invention has been shown and described, it shall be understood that various modifications and changes on the outer appearance of the decorative toy lamp could be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention disclosed.
From the above description, evidently the invention indeed meets the essence of a patent. Thus we hereby file an application for a patent granting.

Claims (4)
