Abstract

An assembly for supporting and/or carrying items of dairy produce such as bottles of milk comprises a tray-like base member 'd' to which is connected an upstanding column 'b' with a handle portion 'a' at its top, and a cover 'c' with a hole 'f' therethrough so that it can be raised and lowered up and down the column 'b' which extends through the hole 'f'. Parts of the assembly may be made of plastics. The bottom end of the column 'b' may screw into the base member 'd'. The cover keeps items clean and dry, out of sight and inaccessible to birds. The cover may be shaped to accommodate, for example, four milk bottles, two milk bottles or two milk bottles and two yoghurt pots.

Description

Dairy Produce Holder A dairy produce holder which would be used by the general public, business and the like. The produce holder contains a plurality of pieces which when selectively positioned and assembled enable the cover to slide up and down the column over the container. The column would be attached to the handle, slid through the cover and then attached to the container. The holes function when centred in the top of the cover would be to enable the cover to slide up and down freely on the column, nestling over the top of the container when in the down position. The material preference would be plastic. The customer may require it to be made of other materials and different adaptations, that is, shapes, forms or sizes. Fixing would be determined by method of manufacture. The produce holder has been designed to make life easier, keep produce out of sight of opportunists, out of birds reach and to keep the produce clean and dry. A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with references to the accompanying drawings in which ; FIG 1 showing a perspective view of the preferred embodiment of the dairy produce holder.

Claims (2)

  1. Claims 1 A dairy produce holder used by the general public, business and the like comprising a plurality of pieces, these being a container, cover, handle, column, recess, and fixings, where in the cover section has a centred hole in the top allowing it to be moved up and down the column enabling it to protect the produce when in the down position sitting over the container keeping the produce dry, clean, away from direct sunlight and birds, it also keeps it out of sight of potential opportunists.
  2. 2 A dairy produce holder as claimed in claim 1 where the means of carrying the produce holder is by using the tall slender column and handle, the column and handle enable the container to be lifted easily helping the elderly, infirm and people with back problems to get the produce from the doorstep without undue discomfort, it also enables the cover to move upwards to allow access to the container and downwards to cover the contents of the container.
