Abstract

A cover for preventing bugs from entering an opened drinks can is arranged to slide onto the lift up tab of an opening device by means of a slot. The cover may be initially defined as a push out portion of a wall of a multipack box bounded by perforations.

Description

ANTI BUG CAN COVER THE INVENTION RELATES TO THE CONCEPT OF A SLIP ON COVER WHICH HOOKS ON TO THE RAISED TAB ON A DRINKS CAN TO PREVENT BUGS IE: WASPS FROM ENTERING THE RECEPTICLE.
WHEN DRINKING FROM A CAN ONE CANNOT SEE WETHER OR NOT THERE IS A WASP OR INSECT INSIDE. IF STUNG IN THE MOUTH THE DRINKERS THROAT COULD SWELL CAUSING DEATH. IF A DESEASE CARRYING INSECT GETS INSIDE THERE IS THE DANGER OF CONTAMINATION AND ILLNESS.
THE OBJECT OF THE INVENTION IS TO PROVIDE A CHEAP COVER FOR A DRINKS CAN THAT WILL PROVIDE A BARRIER TO BUGS.
ACCORDINGLY THE COVER PROVIDES A GOOD ADVERTISING AREA. IT CAN BE PRODUCED IN A VARIANCE OF COLOURS AND SHAPES AND USED TO ADVERTISE BRANDED GOODS FOR INSTANCE.
THE COVER CAN BE MADE FROM A MULTITUDE OF MATERIALS FOR EXAMPLE PLASTIC CARD OR METAL DEPENDANT ON THE EXPENSE THE USER WISHES TO GO TO.
A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION WILL NOW BE DESCRIBED WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWINGS IN WHICH FIGURE 1 SHOWS A STANDARD DRINKS CAN FROM A SIDE VIEW WITH ITS'TAB'RAISED AFTER OPENING.
FIGURE 2 SHOWS AN EXAMPLE OF WHAT A CAN COVER COULD LOOK LIKE-THE SHAPE CAN VARY TO WHATEVER THE CLIENT DESIRES.
FIGURE 3 SHOWS THE COVER SLIPPED ON TOP OF THE CAN ATTACHED USING THE RAISED TAB PULL ON THE OPEN CAN.
FIGURE 4 SHOWS THE COVER IN SITUE FROM ANOTHER ANGLE.
FIGURE 5 SHOWS THE COVER PERFORATED INTO A MULTIPACK BOX.
THE DESIGN IN ITSELF IS VERY SIMPLE, THE PATENT IS THE CONCEPT OF A COVER WHICH IS ABLE TO ATATCH TO THE CAN IN AN EASY MANNER BY SIMPLY USING THE RAISED TAB ON A DRINKS CAN (WHATEVER SHAPE THE COVER MAY BE IE : SQUARE, STAR, ROUND, OBLONG ETC) AS AN EXAMPLE THE COVER COULD BE PERFORATED INTO THE SIDE OF A MULTIPACK BOX AS IN FIGURE 5. IT WOULD THEN BE EASY FOR THE PURCHASER TO PUSH OUT THE PERFORATIONS GIVING THEM A FREE CAN COVER FROM THE MANUFACTURERS-WHO WOULD THEMSELVES HAVE A CHEAP GIVE-AWAY ITEM WHICH COSTS VIRTUALLY NOTHING TO PRODUCE.
I HAVE ENCLOSE AN EXAMPLE OF MY INVENTION IN WITH MY APPLICATION FOR YOU TO SEE HOW THE CONCEPT COULD BE USED.
ON OPENING A DRINKS CAN THE TAB IS LEFT IN A RAISED POSITION. THIS ALLOWS THE ANTI BUG CAN COVER TO BE EASILY SLIPPED ONTO THE CAN ATTATCHING ITSELF ON THE RAISED TAB (FIGURE 1-A) WITH THE USE OF THE SLOT (FIGURE 2-A) THIS ALLOWS THE DRINKER TO KEEP BUGS FROM ENTERING THE CANS. THE COVER IS SIMPLY REMOVED FOR DRINKING THEN REPLACED. AFTER USE IT CAN BE DISPOSED OF WITH THE CAN OR, WITH IT BEING FLAT AND SMALL, KEPT IN A WALLET BAG OR POCKET.
