Abstract

A food holder comprises an elongate spike-like member and a cap member, the elongate member having a pointed end and an enlarged head at the other end, the pointed end and the cap member having complementary engagement means (eg screw-threaded) so that food can be impaled on the elongate member and held thereon between the head and the cap member. Food such as a burger can thus be held together and eaten while fingers contact only the holder, and can also be stood on a surface using the head as a base. The holder may be made of plastics.

Description

DESCRIPTION FOOD BINDER AND HOLDER This invention relates to a device to hold certain types of food (eg : a burger) together.
The objects of the invention are:1. To hold the food together.
2. To enable the food to be picked up and eaten more easily even with one hand.
3. To act as a stand for the food.
4. To allow the food to be eaten without touching it with the fingers thereby promoting hygiene.
The invention may be made of plastic.
It is used by impaling the food on the vertical post and screwing on the retaining cap on the top thereby camping the food together to ensure it does not fall apart. The application will be particularly useful with burgers with multiple fillings.
The invention is shown on the accompanying drawing in it's preferred size but it could be larger or smaller to suit.
Figure one shows the elevation comprising a vertical post on a stand at the base with a screw-on retainer at the top.

  1. CLAIMS FOOD BINDER AND HOLDER 1. This invention holds made-up food together.
  2. 2. It keeps the fingers and thumbs off the food.
  3. 3. You can more easily pick up the food with the invention.
  4. 4. It allows the food to stand without touching the surface on which the invention is resting.
