Abstract

An elasticated band 1, is wrapped around the leg, over a sock, and fixed with fastening means 2 and 3 at either end, to hold up said sock, while allowing quick release and removal, should the need arise.

SPORT'S SOCK HOLD UP BAND.
THIS INVENTION RELATE'S TO A SPORT'S SOCK HOLD UP BAND.
SUCH HOLD UP BAND'S ARE NORMALLY QF A TIED UP VARIETY WHICH CAN BE A DISADVANTAGE WHEN TRYING TO REMOVE QUICKLY IN THE EVENT OF INJURY.
AN OBJECT OF THIS INVENTION IS TO PROVIDE A HOLD UP BAND WHICH IS EASY TO PUT ON AND TAKE OFF.
PREFERABLY THE HOLD UP BAND WILL BE MADE OF ELASTIC WITH A HOOK AND LOOP TYPE FASTENING A PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION WILL NOW BE DESCRIBED WITH REFERENCE TO THE ACCOMPANYING DRAWING IN WHICH : FIGURE I SHOW'S A FRONT VIEW OF THE HOLD UP BAND.
FIGURE 2 SHOW'S A BACK VIEW OF THE HOLD UP BAND.
AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 1 THE HOLD UP BAND COMPRISES A FLAT BAND 1. ON EACH END OF BAND ARE THE FASTENING'S 2,3.
THE HOOK TYPE FASTENING 2 ATTACHE'S TO THE LOOP TYPE FASTENING 3 WHEN JOINED TOGETHER.
THE FASTENER 2 IS JOINED TO THE HOLD UP BAND 1 BY MEAN'S OF BEING SOWN INTO POSITION. THE FASTENER 3 IS ALSO SOWN INTO POSITION AT THE OTHER END OF HOLD UP BAND 1 BUT ON OPPOSITE SIDE TO ALLOW CONTACT BETWEEN FASTENER'S 2,3 WHEN WRAPPED AROUND LEG AND FACE'S OF FASTENERS 2,3 MAKE CONTACT.

    1. A SPORTS SOCK HOLD UP BAND COMPRISING A FLAT BAND WITH FASTENING'S AT EACH END.
