Abstract

A medicinal measuring cap has different coloured lines A,B inside the cap to indicate specific dosages A1, B1 which are printed above each relevant line. The lines and dosages may be raised to assist the blind.

Description

BOTTLE CAP DEVELOPMENT This invention relates to a medicinal measuring cap.
Medicine bottles feature a cap or lid to seal them. This cap is often childproof.
In order to measure out the correct dosage of liquid medicine, a separate measuring spoon (Figure 1) or measuring cup (Figure 2) is manufactured and issued with the said bottle.
For those who require a variety of liquid medicines, this results in a considerable collection of surplus measuring spoons and cups.
If the spoon or cup becomes separated from the said bottle, this results in wasted time searching, with the prospect of an incorrect dosage being taken in haste with the use of an alternative inaccurate measuring vessel.
Thus, by using the cap as an accurate measuring device, the need for separate spoons or cups is no longer necessary, thus making great savings for pharmaceutical companies.
Therefore this invention provides a medicinal measuring cap comprising of standard different coloured lines inside the cap to indicate specific medicinal dosages; wherein the dosage is printed above each relevant tine.
The lines and printed dosage would be in raised format to assist the blind.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawing in which: FIGURE 3 illustrates a medicinal measuring cap comprising of standard different coloured lines inside the cap to indicate specific medicinal dosages; wherein the dosage is printed above each relevant line.
As shown in Figure 3, a standard of different coloured lines A and B would represent each specific dosage, supported by the printed dosage above each line, Al and Bl.
The lines and printed dosage would be in raised format to assist the blind.

Claims (2)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A medicinal measuring cap comprising of standard different coloured lines inside the cap to indicate specific medicinal dosages; wherein the dosage is printed above each relevant line.
  2. 2. A medicinal measuring cap as claimed in Claim 1, wherein the lines and printed dosage would be in raised format to assist the blind.
