Abstract
A charger for charging one or more mobile phone battery packs independently and simultaneously is operated by coin, token, credit card or other prepayment means. The charger may be secured to a wall or floor or may be wheel mounted.
Description
THE PAY OPERATED MULTI BATTERY PACK CHARGER
ABBREVIATED REFERECES USED-rl. P. C. U tdICRUPRUCESSER CONTROLLE. R UNIT H. B. P. C MULTIPLE BATIERY PACK CHARGER
This design/invention relates to a multiple battery pack charger pay operation incorporating coinage. notes tokens. credit cards, etc
The design/invention encompasses all portable chargeable battery packs for use on their various appliances. For the pwpose of descriptive example the included mobile phone battery pack application is used.
Mobile phone battery chargers are commonly used and. in general consist of a transformer linked hy cable to a moufded. circuited holder with electrical contact points in which the battery pack sits or is plugcred into. An electricity supply is fed into the transformer and is converted into the correct voltage to charge the battery pack at the point of contact. tionvever. mobile phone charging is usually restricted to in-car or desk charging The design/invention allows a mobile phone charging service to be delivered in the form of a vending machine, suitably secure for outdoor use, e.g. Train Stations, Shopping Malls, Motorway Service Stations, etc., powered bv mains/electricity supply or generator.
The design/invention allows one or more battery packs to be charged independently and simultaneously inctudins battery packs of varying shapes, sizes and charge requirements
The design/invention, on receipt of payment, will deliver a prescribed amount of charge (variable depending upon battery requirements) when the battery is placed in the battery pack holder.
The basic components (see Appendix A) of the design/invention consist of transformer. connected to (brain). The brain will deliver the transformed power to a designated point on a multiple batterv holder on command for a measured period The command to activate a designated location is achieved by a battery pack beiii in place and
# payment being received, althougli as stste@@ previously. the unit will accept various methods of payment. However, for the purpose of example the included coin/token version is used The coin/token chute runs directly to a secured cash compartment. The components are enclose in a secure metal casing which can then be secured to floor or wall. or wheel mounted in case of included mobile version
The following illustration shows a specific embodiment of the design/invention by way of example X drawings. illustrating the unit in component form anda@so@as an included completed version of a workingmodel.
