Abstract

A tapping device includes a spout 6 fixed to a hollow shaft 1 with screw threads 7 around its length. The device may include a hand grip 5 as part of the spout to assist rotation. The device may include an air inlet 2 and a filter 4, and may be made from metal or plastic.

Description

DESCRIPTION Corkscrew This invention relates to a cork screw of the type which includes a spout including a collar mounted onto a hollow twisting spiral shaft, which includes a built in filter and air vent.
Such cork screws are well known, but suffer from the disadvantage that the cork can be difficult to remove from the bottle before the liquid contents can be poured and it is difficult to replace the cork.
An object of this invention is to provide a cork screw which allows easy pouring of the liquid from the bottles without removing the cork and to preserve the contents.
Accordingly, this invention provides a cork screw including a spout and handgrips fixed to a collar that is mounted onto a hollow twisting spiral shaft which includes a built in filter and air vent.
Preferably the filter is made of metal or plastics. But it may be made from a combination of various materials and may have a decorative design.

Claims (7)

  1. CLAIMS 1. A corkscrew server including a spout fixed to a hollow shaft with number of spiral screws mounted on the shaft to allow rotation.
  2. 2. A corkscrew as in claim 1 where a hand grip is part of the spout.
  3. 3. A corkscrew as claimed in claim 1 and 2 where a filter may be included as part of the shaft or spout.
  4. 4. A corkscrew as in claim 3 where an air vent and rim may be positioned and mounted on the shaft.
  5. 5. A corkscrew as in any preceding claim including a spout which provides extraction and includes a handgrip for rotation. The hollow shaft supporting a number of fixed screw spirals which project from the shaft.
  6. 6. A corkscrew as in any preceding claim which is made from metal or plastics material or a combination of any materials.
  7. 7. A corkscrew substantially as herein described and illustrated in the accompanying drawing.
