Abstract
The disgorger comprises a torch unit 1 with a collar attachment 2 holding a disgorger tool 3 which is clamped in place by retaining screw 4.
Description
DISGORGERTORCH
This invention reZates to a fish disgorger torch.
Fish disgorgers are a welZ known fishing tooZ which comprise of a speciaZZy made piece of plastic or metaZ made specificaZly to faciZitate the removaZ of a hook from the mouth of a fish.
Whist disgorgers may be easiZy used in good
Zighting conditions difficuZties arise where Zight levels are low, such as at dusk and at nighttime. The use of separate light sources such as hand held torches imposes handZing probZems where it is necessary to hold the fish, torch and disgorger. fixed iZZumination such as"cap Zamps" mounted on the angZers head partZy soZve the probZem but do not provide accurateZy pZaced illumination in the area required.
According to the present invention there is provided a compact hand heZd torch to which a disgorger tooZ is fixed though the means of a smalt coZZar attached to the Zens end of the torch. The position of the coZZar and disgorger tooZ is so arrange that the illumination provided by the torch is directed onto the disgorger tooZ end. Into the top of the coZZar is a securing screw to stabilise the tooZ in use as weZZ as providing for adjustabiZity and interchange of alternative disgorger tooZs.
The whoZe assembly thus aZso provides for an accurateZy aligned light source of minimum iZZumination level and correspondingZy Zess disturbance to the fishing area in generaZ.
A specific embodiment of the invention wiZZ now be described by way of exampZe with reference to the accompanying drawing in which :
Figure 1 shows the disgorger tool.
Referring to the drawing the disgorger tooZ comprises of a torch unit [1J with a speciaZZy made coZZar attachment l2J permanentZy fixed to the light emitting end. This coZZar is bored to accept the disgorger tooZ [31 which is cZamped in pDace by means of the top retaining screw [4J.
