Abstract

The tool comprises a handle 3 situated between two tool heads 2, 6. The tool heads are designed for multiple use, the head 2 being capable of use as a fork and a rake having pronged ends 1, and tool head 6 as a trowel and seed spreader via notch 7 in the blade 6.

Description

2342027 Combined 4 in 1 GARDEN HAND TOOL The invention relates to a
combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool comprising of a garden hand fork which can also be used as a Rake, and a garden hand trowel which can also be used as a SEED SPREADER constructed as a single tool on the same horizontal plane 'fore' and 'aft' from the same handle, and there is a recess for hanging the tool.
The object of this invention provides the usages of a hand rake, a fork, a trowel and a seed spreader constructed as a single tool from the same handle and on the same horizontal plane.
The hand garden fork and trowel are well known garden tools, however, using them separately has certain disadvantages as oppose to using a 'single' tool comprising of the garden fork used also as a rake and the garden trowel used also as a seed spreader, and both fork and trowel are constructed 'fore' and 'aft' from the same handle and on the same horizontal plane. The tool is also user friendly' in that the shape of the bow handle prevents the 'aft' tool scraping the forearm.
Accordingly this invention in a much smaller size can be used for narrow window boxes and indoor gardens.
The whole tool can be made of metal or strong plastic, and it's handle could also be made of wood.
A preferred embodiment of the invention will now be described with reference to the accompanying drawing in which:
FIGURE 1 shows the whole tool FIGURE Z shows the tool clasped by the hand illustrating the fact that the 'aft' tool does not contact the forearm hence the bow shape of the handle insuring the tool to be user friendly'.
FIGURE 3 shows the small version for narrow window boxes and injo---or gardens.
Accordingly this invention a combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool- Fork Rake Trowel Seed spreader and A recess for hanging the tool As shown in FIGURE 1 the tool comprises a bow shaped handle 3 with hand finger under grips 4 and a thumb support 5. The fork 2 has its fork prong ends 1 pointed and upturned so that it can be used as a rake, and the trowAl 6 has a small V shaped recess 7 for hanging on a hook and which can also be used as a seed spreader.
FIGURE 2 shows the hand positioned on the bow handle illustrating the fact that the 'aft' tool prevents contact with the forearm 8 to be a user friendly tool.
FIGURE 3 shows the usage of the smaller version for narrow window boxes and indoor gardens.

Claims (8)

  1. CLAI-NS
    Combined 4 in 1 qarden hand tool 1. The combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool is constructed with the fork and trowel 'fore' and 'aft' from the same handle. The fork has TWO uses ( the use of a fork and a rake) and the trowel has TWO uses ( the use of a trowel and a seed spreader). The smaller version of the tool is designed for narrow window boxes and hanging baskets.
  2. 2. The combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool as claimed in Claim 1, the fork tines are upturned at their ends so that it can be used as a rake.
  3. 3. The combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool as claimed in Claim 1, the trowel has a V shaped hole at its end so that it can be used as a seed spreader.
  4. 4. The combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool as claimed in Claim 1, the handle has indents for hand, finger and thumb, grip.
  5. 5. The combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool as claimed in Claim 1, the large fork has four tines for normal garden spaces.
  6. 6. The combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool as claimed in Claim 1, the small fork has three tines ( as apposed to four) because it is designed to be used in small, confined and narrow spaces - the window box and hanging basket.
  7. 7. The combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool as claimed in Claim 1, the tool can be made from any galvanised metals, strong plastics, and its handle could also be made of wood.
  8. 8. The combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool as claimed in Claim 1, the arms of the Fork and Trowel in the large tool are angled to ensure the 'aft' tool does not scrape the forearm when the tool is used.
    g. The combined 4 in 1 garden hand tool as claimed in Claim 1,, the V shaped hole can be used for hanging the tool.
