Abstract

A scaffolding basket 1 is of rigid lightweight construction, eg a metal grid, and includes means, eg hooks 2, by which it can be attached to a framework such as scaffolding. The basket may have a solid inset base and/or a lid and may be of circular segment, triangular or rectangular shape.

Description

2341540 SCAFFOLDING BASKET This invention relates to a scaffolding basket.
Working from scaffolding and aluminium towers is an integral part of the construction and decorating industries at the present time. Often a small confined working platform upon a tower will be the main workstation for a tradesman for hours or days at a time. Where such a tradesman keeps, his materials and tools safely in such a confined space has always been a problem. Presently, items such as cans of paint, solvents, hand-tools and power-tools occupy the same platform on which the tradesman stands and as such are liable to be damaged or cause serious accidents.
According to the present invention there is provided, a lightweight metal basket with a base.,sides and optional lid, and a mean,-, bN7 which it call be attached to the frame of a scaffold or tower.
A specific embodiment of the invention will now be described by way of example with references to the accompanying drawings in which: - Figure I Shows in perspective, a rectangular type basket; Figure 2 Shows in perspective, a segment shaped basket attached to a scaffolding; Figure 3 Shows another corner design basket; and Figure 4 Shows another rectangular design basket.
Referring to the drawings, the scaffolding basket is comprised of a box type framework of grid metal (1). A number of hooks (2) are provided around the top of the basket to secure it to a scaffolding. A lid (not shoivn) may also be fitted to the basket for security, or to provide an additional ivorking surface.
