Abstract

A toothbrush handle comprises a duct extending from the head to the other handle end to carry away water etc. to avoid soiling the hand. The duct may be formed by an add-on sleeve surrounding the handle.

Description

The Drv Hand Toothbrush Overview 2341311 The invention 1 have come up with
is a brushing device that enables the user to take care of their daily oral hygiene in a clean and easy way with the emphasis being on the functionality of the brushing device. All t often have people cleaned their teeth only to find that the brush handle ends up covered in the foam thus making it harder and less comfortable to manoeuvre within the mouth. My invention is designed to assist with the brushing process by channelling the waste away from the users hand and enabling them to have a more positive grip on the brush.
Design notes My inve, ntion has two variations, the first is that it can be a single fixed unitincorporating a brushing head which has a channellchannels in the handle enabling the waste foam to drain away from the users hand and into the wash basin. Secondly it can be a handle only which pushes on to the users existing toothbrush, again facilitating the drainage of waste foam through channel/channels but useable on a variety of different toothbrushes. Both variations use a cup type of design (see accompanying drawings) to assist with the collection of the waste which has run down the neck of the toothbrush.
Conclusion
There are several forces which assist the drainage of the waste, gravity is one of them this helps by pulling the waste foam down through the channels another is a kinetic force which assists drainage by the movement of the users hand. Finally there is an element of capillary action drawing the waste into and pulling it through the channel/ channels. My invention is suitable for a variety of users including those with restricted gripping abilities, and those who have disabilities. Ablebodied people who want more comfort and usability from their brush can also use it.
THE DRY HAND TOOTHBRUSH THE PURPOSE OF MY DEVICE IS TO ACT AS A HYGIENE PRODUCT, IT PREVENTS THE EXCESS WASTE WHICH IS PRODUCED FROM THE MOUTH WHEN BRUSI-ENG THE TEETH, FROM RUNNING DOVvN THE HANDLE OF THEBRUSH AND ONTO TIHE FINGERS HAND AND WRIST.
IT DOES THIS IN TWO WAYS, BOTHWAYS INVOLVE USING CHANNELLING DOVv'N THE HANDLE OF THE BRUSH.
HOW DO BOTH WAYS WORK THE FIRST WAY CONSISTS OF AN ALL IN ONE UNIT, VTHERE AS THE BRUSH AND HANDLE ARE NOT SEPARATE ITEM'S BUT ARE ONE ITEM FUNCTIONING AS THE TOOTHBRUSH AND CHANNELLING, ALLOWING THE WASTE TO DRAIN AWAY. THE OTBERIS A SEPARATEHANDLE OR COVERWI-11CHFITS ONTO THE EXISTING TOOTHBRUSH AND HOLDS THE TOOTHBRUSH IN POISTION, THUS STILL ALLOWI NG THE WASTE TO BE CHANNELED AWAY.
CONCLUSION
TO SUMMERISE MY INVENTION, IT PREVENT THE WASTE FROM THE MOUTH PRODUCED WHEN BRUSHING THE TEETH FROM DIRTYING THE FINGERS HAND AND WRIST VIA A CHANNELL IN THE HANDLE z
