Abstract

A support bracket, eg for shelving, has a body 3,4,5 which is shaped to co-operate with and be wedged into the bars 2 of a V-shaped rack 2 which may be wall-mounted or free-standing. The body may be recessed to fit round the bars (see Fig 5) and/or have hook-like parts (10, Fig8 or 12, Fig 12) fitting round the bars. The body may include a horizontally extending shelf support frame (6,7 Fig 6) and the rack may include a plurality of V-shaped support apertures (Fig 9). The support bracket is easily separated from the rack by an upward movement.

Description

2341081 A CLASPING BRACKET
[Technical field] This invention relates to bracketing, particularly for shelving and more particularly for removable shelving. A Clasping Bracket, according to this invention, is a removable support-bracket that may usefully support a shelf unit on a V-like rack(described below).
A shelf unit framework that may be usefidly supported by a Clasping Bracket may be a shelf board bearing framework for a single shelf board, or a shelf board bearing framework for a plurality of shelf boards.
A shelf board bearing framework for a plurality of shelf boards that may be supported as above, by a Clasping Bracket, may be a shelving boxcabinet framework.
Where I speak of a 'shelving unit', above & below, 1 am referring to a shelf board bearing framework that, at time of description, may or may not bear a shelf board.
Where I speak of a 'shelf board', above & below, I use the term 'board' figuratively. A shelf board may be formed of a material such as wood, metal, rigid-plastic, glass, etc.
[Background art]
Fitment and removal, to and from shelving-rack framework, of removable support bracketing for removable-shelf units, is known to be tiresome & fussy.
The security & strength of holding, on a suitable shelf rack, of known removable shelf units, is known to weaken with increase of shelf board load weight.
[Advantages of this invention] A Clasping Bracket, according to this invention, may removably hold itself on a V-like rack whilst supporting a shelf unit at a side of the V- like rack, in a way, so the security & strength of it's self-anchoring on the V-like increases directly with any load weight increase borne by a shelf unit it may support.
A Clasping Bracket, according to this invention, may be fitted-to and removed from a cooperative V-like rack in an un-fussy and simple manner. Thus a removable shelf unit fitted with a Clasping Bracket may be easily placed-on and easily removed-from a co-operating V-like rack shelving framework.
A Clasping Bracket, according to this invention, may provide; simple, strong and very reliable removable-holding of a removable shelf unit at a side of a co-operative V-like rack.
Below, I use 'rising' to refer to a body that extends upwards & downwards through the vertical.
Accompanying drawings are not to scale, they are only to support the text.
2 [description]
A 'Clasping Bracket'-(according to this invention)- is a bracket structure for co-operation with a V-like rack, the bracket structure includes a rigid main body part, characterised in that the main body part has a shape & size that complements a V space of the V-like rack and the main body part has a pair of opposed bracket grips for gripping respective opposed V bars of the V-like rack, in a way, so the opposed bracket grips may be wedged between the opposed V bars, in a way, so the bracket structure may be firmly anchored on the V-like rack.
The main body part of a Clasping bracket may be a 'main body part frame', The main body part of a Clasping bracket may be a 'main body part plate'.
The main body part of a Clasping Bracket may be a 'main body part frame' with seamless connection within a larger frame body.
The main body part of a Clasping Bracket may be a 'main body part plate' with seamless connection within a larger plate body.
No adherent-(E.G. glue, or welding), bolting, or other such fixing assistance, is needed for holding a Clasping Bracket securely on a V-like rack. A Clasping Bracket may hold itself removably with strength and security on an "upright" V-like rack. However, fixing assistance(as above) may be used to fix a Clasping Bracket to a V-like rack in a permanent and non-removable way, if desired.
[V-like racks] Where 1 speak, above & below, of a W-like rack', 1 am speaking of a framework, or section of framework, that is like a W' in at least as much as it includes a pair of bar-lengths that are held rigidly in fixed relation to one-another, in a way, so the distance between the respective bar length ends of one of it's pairs of corresponding bar length ends, is greater than the distance between the respective bar length ends of it's other pair of corresponding bar length ends.
Where I speak, below, of the ' W' of a V-like rack(as above), 1 am speaking of a pair of bar-lengths(curved or straight) that form the Vlike rack.
I use 'V bars', above & below, when referring to the bars of the W' of a V-like rack.
Respective V bars, of a V like rack, may be of different respective widths, if desired.
The different bar length ends of a pair of corresponding bar length ends, of a V-like rack, are bar length ends of dilferent V bars of the V-like rack.
Where I speak, above & below, of an ' "upright" V-like rack, I am speaking of a V-like rack in a position such that it's pair of corresponding bar length ends with the greatest distance between them, is above(though not necessarily in absolute vertical alignment above) it's pair of corresponding bar length ends with the lesser distance between them.
3 One pair of corresponding bar length ends, of the V bars of an "upright" V-like rack, is an upper pair of bar length ends. The other pair of corresponding bar length ends, is a lower pair of bar length ends.
[Essential Features of a Clasping Bracket] A Clasping Bracket includes; a 'main body part' of a 'V space' complementing shape, together with at least one pair of bracket-grips, wherein respective bracket-grips, of any pair, are securely joined, respectively, to opposite edges of the main body part.
Each bracket-grip, of a pair of bracket-grips, joined to the main body part of a Clasping Bracket, is designed and joined, in a way, so it can effiectively grip a V bar of a V-like rack, as desired.
The V space complementigg shape, of the main body part of a Clasping Bracket, is defined by the positioning of the opposed bracket-grips at opposite edges of h's body.
A bracket-grip aspect of a Clasping Bracket(as in use) provides a rigid 'U' like shape, at a side of the main body part of the Clasping Bracket, that may clasp a respective V bar, in a way, to prevent unwanted 'back & forth' movement of the Clasping Bracket.
A bracket-grip aspect, of a Clasping Bracket, may be a V like bracketpiece, welded or otherwise fixed, to a rising(as in use) side of the main body part of a Clasping Bracket. See figs 2 & 12.
A bracket-grip aspect, of a Clasping Bracket, may be a continuous part(with seamless connection) of the main body part of the Clasping Bracket, formed, as a 'U' like shape, in a hollowed out minor width side of the main body part. See Fig 2.
It may be desirable to form a bracket-grip aspect, of a Clasping Bracket, in a way, so the closed end of the 'U', of it's 'U' like shape is provided by a rising(as in use) minor-width side-edge of the respective main body part and length of each length-side of the T' like shape is provided by an extending length of a "small" plate-strip appropriately fixed to a respective major-width side of the main body part.
By 'bracket-grip', of a Clasping Bracket, above & below, I mean a bracketgrip aspect -as above.
Where I speak, above & below, of the 'V space' of a V-like rack, I am speaking of space between the gripable aspects of respective V bars that may be gripped by respective bracket-grips of a Clasping Bracket.
A Clasping Bracket holding itself, in a way as desired, on an "upright" Vlike rack, holds itself in two ways: 1. by wedging which prevents unwanted downward movement, and 2. by the clasping/griping of respective V bars, with respective bracket-grips, in a way, that prevents unwanted back & forth movement -(mention above).
4 The complementary shape of the main body part, of a Clasping Bracket(as in use) on an "upright" V-like rack, enables desirable wedging of the Clasping Bracket within the V space of the V-like rack.
Suitable 'U' like shape design of respective bracket-grips, of a Clasping Bracket(as in use) on an "upright" V-like rack, enables efficient Clasping or 'gripping' of respective V bars by the bracket-grips.
[A Clasping Bracket in use] I describe, below, an embodiment of this invention, as in use on an "upright" V-like rack held to a wall, within an arrangement of various parts which together form what 1 refer to as a 'Simple removable-shelf unit'. A Clasping Bracket, as above, is a central and vital feature of a Simple removable-shelf unit such as the Simple removable-shelf unit described below.
Below; by 'front' of a unit held, by a Clasping Bracket on a V-like rack, at a side of the Vlike rack, I mean the side of the unit that is farthest from the V-like rack. By 'back' of a unit, thus held, I mean the side closest to the V-like rack. I may refer, below, to the 'front' of a unit, as it's 'outer-side' and to the 'back' of a unit as it's 'inner-side'.
An arrangement - of various parts, that forms what I have termed a 'Simple removable-shelf unit', may be described, in general terms, as an arrangement of 3 main parts: A 'Clasping Bracket'-as above, a 'Holding frame' and an 'Shelf frame'.
1. A Clasping Bracket to hold itself securely on an "upright" V-like rack. The Clasping Bracket provides a securely anchored surface to which the Holding frame is securely joined.
2. A Holding frame to hold the Shelf frame. The Holding Frame may be held securely to the Clasping Bracket with fixing assistance such as nuts & bolts, or welding.
3. A Shelf frame to provide a frame upon which a shelf board may be fixed and held "horizontally". The shelf frame is held to the Holding frame in a suitable way for this.
[Detailed Example] A specific Simple removable-shelf unit, as above, is described below, as in use on an "upright" V-like rack of a shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2), by way of example, with reference to accompanying drawings, figures 1-7, in which., Figure 1 Shows a front view of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) holding itself to the V-like rack of the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2), via a respective pair of rising V bar(2)s. Dashed fines indicate each rising V bar(2) and the "horizontar' cross bar(l) of the shelvingrack(of parts 1, lb & 2). Light dotted fines indicate the innermost edge of the closed end of the 'U' of each bracket-grip(4), of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4). Holding screws are also indicated in this Fig.

Dashed fines indicate the V bar(2)s of a shelving-rack(of parts I, lb & 2). The cross bar(l) of the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2) is cutaway in this Fig, in a way, so the top of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) may be shown. The hollow spacing pin(Ib)s, of the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2), that may be used with screws to hold the shelvingrack(of parts 1, 1 b & 2) to a wall are not shown. In this Fig.
Figure 2b Shows a view from below, of the bottom bar length of the main body part(3), and of the bracket-grip(4)s, of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4). Dashed lines indicate the V bar(2)s of the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2). The lower section of the shelvingrack(of parts 1, lb & 2) is cut-away, in this Fig, in a way, so the base of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) may be shown. The hollow spacing pin(ib)s, of the shelvingrack(of parts 1, lb & 2), are not shown in this Fig.

Figure 5 Shows a view from above of the Holding frame(S), as welded to the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) which is holding itself to the pair of rising V bar(2)s of the shelvingrack(of parts 1, lb & 2). Dashed lines indicate each V bar(2). The cross bar(l) of the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2), is cut-away, in this Fig, in a way, so the top of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) may be shown.
The back of this Fig is the annotation 'Fig Y.
Figure 6 Shows a view from above of the whole of the Simple removableshelf unit as held by the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4)) at a side of the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2).
The hollow spacing bar lengths(Ib), of the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2), are indicated in this Fig by dashed lines.
Dashed fines also indicate each V bar(2) and the cross bar(l), of the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2).
The section of the cross bar(l) immediately over the Clasping Bracket(of part 3 & 4) is cutaway in this fig, in a way, so the top of the Clasping Bracket can be shown.
Also shown, in this Fig, the top of the Holding firame(5), the Shelf firame(6) and it's support bar(7)s.
6 Figure 7 shows a cross-section side-view of the whole of the Simple removable-shelf unit, as held(by the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4)) at a side of the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2).
Dashed lines through the width of the Shelf frame(6), indicate the middle cross-bar of the shelf frame(6).
Other dashed lines indicate a rising V bar(2) and two hollow spacing pin(Ib)s.
With reference to Figs 1-7, 1 provide written description below, of each 'main' part of the specific arrangement of parts that form, with use of a Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), the Simple removable-shelf unit illustrated in Figs 1-7, as in use.
1. The Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) -(as in use).
This consists of four bar-lengths welded together, in a way, to form the frame of the Clasping Bracket's 'main body part'(3). The top bar-length of the frame is greater in length than the bottom bar length. There are two rising bar-length sides of this frame. See fig 1.
Each rising bar-length side, of the main body part(3), of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), is hollowed-out along it's length, in a way, so it forms a bracket-grip(4) that can securely grip the round width, of a rising V bar(2) of a pair of round-widthed V bar(2)s. see Figs 2a & 2b.
The Left & Right, rising bar-length sides, of the main body part(3), of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), are joined at their ends, respectively, to the Left and Right ends of the "horizontal"(as in use) top & bottom bar-lengths of the main body part(3), in a way, so the shorter "horizontal" bottom bar-length is held centrally under the top "horizontal" barlength, see Fig 1.
Respectively, the Left & Right rising bar-length sides, of the main body part(3), rise at an angle that complements the rising angle of the Left & Right V bar(2)s of the shelvingrack(of parts 1, lb & 2) upon which the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) holds itself.
Respectively, the Left & Right bracket-grip(4)s, of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), grip the Left & Right rising V bar(2)s of the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2) upon which the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) holds itself.
The Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) provides a securely anchored and rigid surface to which the Holding frame(S), described below, is welded.
The bracket-grip(4)s, of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), grip respective V bars which have round width-shapes. The gripping shape of each bracket-grip(4)s is concave in a complementing way.
A bracket-grip, of a Clasping Bracket as above, that has a concave gripping shape may effectively grip a V bar with a non-round width-shape. It may be desirable to form a bracket grip with, from above or below, a W' like shape.
7 A bracket-grip, of a Clasping Bracket, with a square gripping shape, may effectively grip a V bar with a round width-shape.
LE. The gripping shape of a bracket-grip of a Clasping Bracket(as above) does not need to exactly complement the width-shape of a respective V bar of a pair of V bars of a V-fike rack upon which the Clasping Bracket may securely and usefiffly hold itself.
2. The Holding frame(5) -(as in use).
This consists of two rising bar lengths which are welded at their bottom and top ends to "horizontally" extending cross bars, in a way, so they are held parallel to one another. These two rising bar lengths are also welded to respective ends of a 'middle' cross bar, see Fig 3.
The Holding frame(5) is a 'sideways lying' rectangle. It's cross bars are longer than its rising bar lengths, see Fig 3.
The "horizontally" extending lengths of the cross bars mentioned above, are parallel to one another, see Fig 3.
Each end of the length, of the bottom cross bar of the Holding firame(5) is joined to the base of the length of the inside edge of one rising bar length, see Fig 3.
Each end of the length, of the top cross bar, of the Holding firame(5), is joined to the top of the length of the inside edge of one rising bar length, see Fig 3.
Each end of the length of the middle cross bar, of the Holding frame(5), is joined to the inside edge of one of the rising bar lengths, at a point that is a little-less than a 3rd of the way up the length of the rising bar length, see Fig 3.
The distance from the top edge of the top "horizontally" extending length of the middle cross bar, to the bottom edge of the bottom "horizontally" extending length of the bottom cross bar, of the Holding frame(5), is equal to the rising width of the main body part(3) of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4). The upper and lower "horizontal" bar lengths of the main body part(3) cannot be seen in Fig 4 -mentioned above.
The back edge of the central length, of both the bottom and middle cross bars, of the Holding frame(5), is welded to a respective(top or bottom) "horizontally" extending cross bar of the main body part(3) of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), see Fig 5.
The Holding firame(5) is held firmly to the Clasping Bracket by this welding.
3. The Shelf frame(6) -(as in use).
This is a rectangular frame of three parallel length cross-bars fixed at right angles to two shorter parallel width-bars at each end of their lengths. The three length cross-bars comprise an inner-side bar, an outerside bar, and a middle bar. See Fig 6.
8 The length of the Shelf frame(6) is greater than the length of the Holding frame(5) to which it is welded. See Fig 6.
The inner-side bar of the Shelf frameffl is welded centrally, to the top cross bar of the Holding frame(5), see Figs 6.
The Shelf frame(6) is supported "horizontally" by two support bar(7)s. See the crosssection view of Fig 7 in which one of the support bar(7)s can be seen.
There are two support bar(7)s fitted between the Holding frame(5) and the Shelf frame(6), in a way, so they give strong support to desirable "horizontal" holding of the Shelf frame(6).
The upper end of each support bar(7) is welded, to the underside of the middle bar of the Shelf frame(6), see Fig 7.
The lower end of each support bar(7) is welded, to the outer edge of a rising bar length of the Holding frame(5), at a place adjacent to a respective end of the length of the middle cross bar of the Holding frame(S).
From above, in Fig 6, each support bar(7) appears as a Right-angled cross bar between the middle bar and inner-side bar, of the Shelf frame(6). Each support bar(7) is directly opposite an end of the length of the Holding frame(5). See Fig 6.
The upper and lower ends, of each support bar(7) mentioned above, are angled such that when welded, as above, the angle-set of the length of each support bar(7) effects strong support of the Shelf frameffl. See Fig 7.
A wall rack, such as the shelving-rack(of parts 1, 1 b & 2), described above is formed with a single V-like, rack which has, when "upright", a cross bar at it's top.
A wall rack may be formed with a single V-like rack which, when "upright" has no cross bar at it's top.
It may be desirable to join two or more, shelving-racks such as the shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2)s -above, in a way, to form a 'combined V-like rack framework unit', for fitment to a wall, upon which two or more Clasping Brackets may hold themselves, see Fig 9. Fbdng screws, for holding the 'combined v-fike rack framework unit', in Fig 9, are not shown.
Legs may be fitted to a 'combined V-like rack framework unit'-(as above), in a way, to form a free-standing 'combined V-like rack framework unit' upon which two or more Clasping Brackets may hold themselves.
9 [Additions(as in use)] A Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) -as above, may be created with an extra 'chorizontal"(as in use) bar length, welded centrally across the lower "horizontal" bar-length of the main body part frame, of a Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), in a way, so each-(the Left & Right) end, of the length of the extra "horizontal" bar length, extends significantly past a respective length-end of the lower "horizontal" bar-length of the main body part frame, of a Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4). 1 refer to such an extra "horizontal" bar length as an 'additional "horizontal" bar length'(8), see Fig 8.
An 'additional 'lorizontal" bar length'(8) may be used to enable provision of additional clasping strength by a Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), as follows:
At the very end of each end of the 'liorizontal" length of an additional "horizontal" bar length(S), a rising bar length may be welded, in a way, so it rises at an angle inwardly, towards the longer upper "horizontal" bar-length of the main body part frame of a Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), as well as in a backward direction, away from the front of the respective Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4). 1 refer to such an additionally-welded rising bar length, as an 'additional rising bar length'(9), see Fig 8.
The top(as in use) end of an 'additional rising bar length'(9) may be folded-around, in a way, so it forms a bracket-grip(10) that may hookaround and grip a rising V bar(2), see Fig 8.
An 'additional 'lorizontal"' bar length(8)', that is welded across the lower '%orizontal" barlength of the main body part frame of a Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), as above, may operate as the lower cross bar of a frame such as the Holding frame(5)-described above.
A Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4) with additional parts 8, 9 & 10, as shown in Fig 8, forms a Clasping Bracket(of parts 3, 4, 8, 9 & 10).
A Clasping Bracket must be suitably sized in relation to a co-operative Vlike rack upon which it is to usefiffly hold itself.
Regarding remove-ability, of a Clasping Bracket from an "upright" V-like rack over which there is a cross bar; such as remove-ability from a Vlike rack of a shelving-rack such as a shelving-rack(of parts 1, lb & 2).
For comfortable remove-abifity of a Clasping Bracket from a V-like rack over which there is a cross bar; the respective Clasping Bracket must be suitably sized, in a way, so with lifting, for removal, it's bracketgrips may un-clasp respective V bars and be moved into empty space between the V bars, in a way, so the Clasping Bracket may be pulled away from the V-like rack without interference from either V bar or the cross bar.
The main body part(3), of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 3 & 4), described above, is a 'main body part frame'.
The main body part, of a Clasping Bracket, may be a plate with a 'V space complementing' shape. I refer to such a main body part as a 'main body part plate'.
A bracket-grip may be formed of a plate-strip folded, in a way, so it forms a 'U' shape. I refer to such a bracket-grip as a 'plate-strip bracket-grip'.
With reference to Figs 10, 11, & 12, below, I give, by way of example, brief description of a Clasping Bracket(of parts 11 & 12) -comprising a main body part plate(l 1) & plate-strip bracket-grip(12)s-, as in use, on an "upright" V-like rack of a wall shelving rack -such as a shelving rack(of parts 1, 1b & 2) which has rising with V bar(2)s.
Fig 10 shows a front view of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 11 & 12) holding itself on a Vlike rack of V bar(2)s which are indicated with dashed lines. The front of the main body part plate(l 1) is shown in this Fig.
Fig 11 shows a back view of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 11 & 12) shown in Fig 10. In this Fig the plate-strip bracket-gdp(12)s, of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 11 & 12), can be seen, from the back as can the main body part plate(l 1). The V bar(2)s, of the respective Vlike rack, are indicated with dashed fines.
Fig 12a shows a view from above of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 11 & 12) shown in Figs 10 & 11. [More description of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 11 & 12), shown in Figs 10, 11 & 12)l
Creation, of the Clasping Bracket(of parts 11 & 12) with a main body part plate(l 1), is with fitment of plate-strip bracket-grip(12)s to opposite edges, on the back(as in use), of the main body part plate(l 1), see Figs 11, 12a & 12b.
Fitment of each plate-strip bracket-grip(12), to the main body part plate(l 1) is by welding a respective length side, of the U of the platestrip bracket-grip(12), to the back of the main 1 body part plate(l 1), in a way, so the plate-strip bracket-grip(12) may be used to clasp a Vbar(2), in a way, as desired. See Figs 11, 12a & 12b.
During use, the Clasping Bracket(of parts 11 & 12) holds itself on the Vlike rack shown in Figs 10, 11, & 12, in a way, so the main body part plate(l 1) is in front of the V space of the V-like rack, see Figs 10, 12a & 12b.
Where I speak(above & below) of the 'U' -like shape of a bracket grip of a Clasping Bracket 1 am speaking of the shape from an over-, or under-, view(as in use). Of course a bracket grip of a Clasping Bracket has a downward width through the "vertical". From above-down the downward width of a bracket grip has an inward angle, in a way, that may complement the upward & outward angle of a V bar of an "upright" V-like rack.
A single bar of significant length and significant square-width(for V bar Clasping purposes) may form a main body part frame, of a Clasping Bracket, for use on a co-operative V-like rack,, in a way, as follows:
Each length end of the bar(as in use on an "upright" V-like rack) may be hollowed out, in a way, to be formed as a 'U' like shaped bracket grip. The innermost (downward)width-edge of the closed end of the V like shape, of each bracket grip, is angled inwardly(abovedown) through the "vertical" width of the bar, in a way, so that downward & inward angle, of the innermost edge, of each bracket grip, is complementary to the upward & outward angle of a respective V bar of the respective co- operative V-like rack.
Thus a Clasping Bracket may be formed with a single bar length 'main bodypart frame'. I refer to such a Clasping Bracket as a 'single bar Clasping Bracket'.
Alternatively, a single bar Clasping Bracket(as in use on an "upright" Vlike rack) may be formed with a plate-strip bracket-grip welded to each end of it's length, in a way, so the innermost (downward)width-edge of the closed end of the 'U' Eke shape, of each platestrip bracket grip, is held at an angle that is inward(above-down), in a way, so that downward & inward-angle, of the innermost edge of each plate-strip bracket grip, is complementary to the upward & outward angle of a respective V bar of the respective cooperative V-like rack. I refer to such a single bar Clasping Bracket as a 'plate-strip single bar Clasping Bracket'.
[Summary]
The main body part plate of a Clasping Bracket, such as a Clasping Bracket(of parts 11 & 12), may be used with a shelving unit frameworkcombination such as that of a Holding frame(S), a shelf frame(6) & support bar (7)s, in a way, so a removable shelving unit may be formed similar to a 'Simple removable-shelf unit' -as above.
A "horizontal" & rising, as in use, bar length combination, such as the bar length combination of an 'additional "horizontal" bar length'(8) & 'additional rising bar length'(9)s -as above, with bracket-grips such as bracket-grip(10)s-as above, may be fitted along the base of the main body part plate of a Clasping Bracket such as a Clasping Bracket(of parts 11 & 12), in a way, so additional clasping strength may be given to the Clasping Bracket.
12 The downward(as in use) width of a bracket-grip does not need to extend the whole length of a rising(as in use) side of a main body part of a Clasping Bracket, though it may be desirable for bracket-grips to have such 'fiffi downward width'.
A 'main body part frame', of a Clasping Bracket, may be a continuous part(with seamless connection) of a larger frame body, mentioned above.
The bar length of the main body part frame of a 'plate-strip single bar Clasping Bracket', as above, may be a central-length of a longer bar length, in a way, so the main body part frame of the Clasping Bracket is a continuous part(with seamless connection) of a larger frame body.
Two 'plate-strip single bar Clasping Brackets'-(of difFerent lengths) may be used together as a pair for holding a frame such as a Holding frame(S) at a side of a single "upright" Vlike rack, in a way, as follows:
The longer 'plate-strip single bar Clasping Bracket' may be formed -(by appropriate platestrip bracket grip fitment)- along a central length of the middle cross bar of a frame body such as a Holding frarne(S) and the shorter 'plate-strip single bar Clasping Bracket' may be formed(fikewise) along a suitably shorter central length of the bottom cross bar of the frame body,, in a way, so the pair of 'plate-strip single bar Clasping Brackets' may act in unison as one Clasping Bracket, in a way, to securely hold the frame body usefully at a side of a co-operative "upright" V-like rack.
I refer, below, to a Clasping Bracket and frame body combination like that described immediately above, as a 'dual Clasping Bracket/Holding frame unit'.
A 'main body part plate', of a Clasping Bracket, may be a continuous part(with seamless connection) of a larger plate body, mentioned above.
It may be desirable to fit respective plate-grip bracket-grips, of a pair of plate-grip bracketgrips, to opposite ends of a "horizontal"(as in use) central length of an upper region of a plate body and two more respective plate-strip bracket grips, of another pair of plate-strip bracket-grips, to opposite ends of a "horizontal"(as in use) suitably shorter central length of a lower region of the plate body, in a way, so a Clasping Bracket is formed wherein the 'main body part plate' of the Claspmg Bracket is a continuous part(with seamless connection) of a larger plate body.
In reference, to a non-metal 'main body part plate', the term 'plate' has figurative use.
A 'main body part plate' of a Clasping Bracket may be of a materiel other than metal, such as wood, or rigid-plastic.
One, or more than one, Clasping Bracket, such as a Clasping Bracket with a 'main body part plate', may be fitted to, or formed within, the rising(as in use) back of an open-fronted box, in a way, so the box may be removably supported by the Clasping Bracket(s) at a side 13 of one or more than one -uprighf' V-like rack(s), in a way, so the top and bottom sides of the box may be used as shelf boards.
Thus, what I refer to as, a 'shelving box-cabinet' may be reliably held at a side of an "upright" V-Eke rack as a shelving unit with two shelf boards. Hinged doors may be fitted to the front of a shelving box-cabinet -as above, if desired.
I-Iorizontal"(as in use) support-bars may be internally fitted, respectively, along the Left & Right sides of a 'shelving box-cabinet' held as above, in a way so shelf boards may be usefially fitted within the shelving box-cabinet and a 'shelving cabinet' formed.
One, or more than one, 'dual Clasping Bracket/Holding frame unit, may be fitted to the rising(as in use) back of a shelving box-cabinet(as above), in a way, so the dual Clasping Bracket/Holding frame unit(s) may be used for holding the shelving box-cabinet usefully at a side of one, or more than one, co-operative V-like rack(s) -as with one, or more Clasping Bracket formed-vvith a main body part plate described immediately above.
One, or more than one, 'dual Clasping Bracket/Holding frame unit', may be fitted to the rising(as in use) back of a shelving cabinet(as above), in a way, so the dual Clasping Bracket/Holding frame unit(s) may be used for holding the shelving cabinet usefidly at the side of one, or more, cooperative V-like rack(s).
A Clasping Bracket may be of metal, as above, or of another material such as wood, or plastic.
Welding is used in the metal Clasping Bracket embodiments described above, where fixing assistance is necessary.
non-welding fixing assistance, for Clasping Brackets of metal or another material, such as that of nuts & bolts(where room permits), or of gluing(with glue of sufficient strength), may be used for fixing e.g. a Clasping Bracket's main body part to another unit's body, in a way, so the other unit may be held usefiffly by the Clasping Bracket at a side of a V-like rack.
Likewise, non-welding fixing assistance may be used for the fixing of bracket grips to the main body part of a Clasping Bracket, if necessary.
[Clasping Bracket use in other fields]
Though Clasping Brackets are described above for use in the field of shelving units, particularly removable shelving units, it is apparent that a Clasping Bracket as such may be used in other fields.
There are two general types of Clasping Bracket that can be identified, from description above, as;
Type-I' A Clasping Bracket whose main body part is not a continuing part(with seamless connection) of a larger body, and Type-2' A Clasping Bracket whose main body part is a continuing part(with seamless connection) of a larger body.
Each of these two general types, 'Type-l' & 'Type-2', may be used in each of the fields listed below.
