Abstract

A cooker hood includes a filter (1) for use in removing fumes emanating from cooking utensils. The filter is secured to the bottom side walls (3) of the hood housing by hook and loop fastening means (4 and 5). The filter includes a plurality of holes (2) for the passage of air therethrough.

Description

41 1 BEE-HIVE STYLE PROTECTIVE EXHAUSTIVE DEVICE
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
2332269 COVER FOR A SMOKE This invention relates to a bee-hive style protective cover for a smoke exhaustive device, particularly to one effectively removing evaporated oil mixed in smoke combing from cooking utensils, and further having a protective cover stuck with evaporated oil replaceable easily.
Most prior art smoke exhaustive devices are widely used for exhausting smoke and vapor mixed with evaporated oil coming from cooking utensils in a kitchen, and they commonly have a paper filter net disposed on a lower side surface of a sucking case in order to permit evaporated oil to stick on it during operation of the device. However, the paper filer net is always of a too small size, not to let evaporates oil to be removed from vapor, polluting an interior of a kitchen. In addition, replacing the paper filter net may be not so easily done by housewives, as some tools have to be used in handling it.
Some improved smoke exhaustive devices have a centrifugal structure, using no paper filter net, with evaporated oil sticking on a fan of a motor, gradually slowing down speed of the motor.
2 SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
A purpose of the invention is to offer a protective cover bored with many air holes and adhered on ai lower side surface of a sucking case of a smoke exhaustive device so that evaporated oil mixed in vapor coming from cooking utensils may stick on the protective cover when the vapor mixed with evaporated oil is sucked through it. Further, the protective cover may be easily replaced with a new one if it becomes old and is stuck with too much oil by means of velvet pieces with a layer of brushes.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
This invention will be better understood by referring to the accompanying drawings, wherein:
Figure 1 is a perspective view of a beehive style protective cover for a smoke exhaustive device of the present invention; Figure 2 is a perspective view of a smoke exhaus tive device provided with the bee-hive style protective cover of the present invention; Figure 3 is a perspective view of the bee-hive protective cover separated from a sucking case of the smoke exhaustive device of the present invention; and, Figure 4 is a cross-sectional view of the bee-hive protective cover mounted on the sucking case of the smoke exhaustive device of the present invention.
3 DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
A preferred embodiment of a bee-bive style protective cover 1 for a smoke exhaustive device in the present invention, as shown in Figs. 1 and 2, has a proper size to correspond to a lower side surface of a sucking case 3 of a smoke exhaustive device, and a plurality of air holes 2 bored spaced apart regularly in a substantial portion of the cover 1 for air to pass through from under during operation of a motor of the smoke exhaus- tive device with evaporated oil mixed in vapor to stick on the cover 1 so as to exhaust smoke and vapor.
The protective cover I is adhered at a plurality of points regularly spaced apart on a lower surface of the circumferential wall of the sucking case 3 by means of active velvet 4 and brushes 5, as shown in Figs. 3 and 4.
When the protective cover 1 is needed to be replaced with a new one owing to too much oil stuck thereon, a old cover 1 may be removed by separating it from the active velvet pieces 4 adhered on the lower surface of the sucking case 3, an easy work for a houswife to do. Thus blades of the fan rotated by the motor may not be so polluted by evaporated oil, elongating the service life of the smoke exhaustive device to as long as more than 15 years.

CLAIMS:
1. A bee-hive style protective cover for a smoke exhaustive device having a flat shape bored with a plurality of small air holes spaced apart regularly in a substantial dimension of said cover, and a size to correspond to the size of the lower side surface of a sucking case, adhered securely by means of active velvet pieces adhered on said lower side surface of said sucking case.
2. The bee-hive style protective cover for a smoke exhaustive device as claimed in Claim 1, wherein said velvet pieces are provided with a layer of brushes adhered with the protective cover.
