Abstract

An electrical connector (10) for receiving a SIM is provided having an insulative base (12) which is mountable to a printed circuit board and supports electrical contacts (18) which are also connected to the printed circuit board. A cover (14) for receiving a SIM is rotatably mounted to the base (12) and securable thereto at its open end by the cooperation of a pivot bar mechanism (16) with a locking projection (20).
