Abstract

An air fragrancing/conditioning system comprises heating blocks (A) which are thermostatically and electronically controlled, the number and size of the blocks being varied in accordance with the size of environment into which the fragrance is to be emitted. Preferably the system is situated within air-conditioning ducting. In use, solid fragrance units (J) are placed inside the blocks and the blocks are heated, using heating bands (B) which are clamped around the blocks, so as to cause the fragrance to evaporate. The fragrance produced can be distributed using an internal fan system. Preferably the system is controlled using an internal controller unit (E) connected to a timer unit (G). The system is arranged to reduce oxidation during and after use.

Description

VENTILATION SYSTEM AIR FRAGRANCING/CONDITIONING UNIT This invention relates to an Air Fragrancing/Conditioning unit Traditionally Air Fragrance systems have been incorporated into Aerosol type spray units which spray a metered dose of fragrance into the atmosphere on a timed cycle These systems are functional in small areas such as wash rooms, cloak rooms etc The sprayed fragrance is discernible after immediate spraying, but over a longer period dissipates and grows weaker thus necessitating repeated dosages of fragrance via the Aerosol system The present invention incorporates a unique 'Solid Fragrance ' delivery system which is activated by three in-line heating blocks which are controlled both thermostatically and electronically The unit is situated within the Air Conditioning ducting and the resultant fragrance is distributed via the internal fan system to the desired locations A specific embodiment of this invention will now be described by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings in which Figure I shows the ; heating blocks (A) mounted on an Aluminium plate with the internal controller (E); Figure 2 shout the electronically controlled external timer unit (G) Figure 3 shows 3 heating blocks (A) connected to the internal controller (F), Figure 4 shows the internal controller (E) connected to the 3 heating blocks (A), Figure 5 shos the electronically controlled external timer unit (G) Referring to the drawing the unit comprises an Aluminium base plate (I) with 3 Aluminium heating blocks (A) mounted in-hne around which are clamped ; heating bands ( B) The heating blocks and heating bands are connected to the internal controller unit(E) which is also mounted on the Aluminium base plate(I) The internal unit (Fig I) is connected to the external electronically controlled timer unit (Fig 2) via two electrical cables (Fl and H I ) which can be sited at a specified distance from the internal unit (Fig 1) The 'Solid Fragrance' units (J) are polythene containers which are placed inside the heating blocks (X), when the desired temperature has been reached the 'Solid Fragrance' (J) liquefies and the resultant fragrance evaporates into the air space and is distributed via the internal fan system in the ventilation duct The 'Solid Fragrance' units should be replaced every 10-14 days or once the 'Solid Fragrance' has disappeared

Claims (1)

  1. CLAIMS 1 A self contained Air Fragrancing / Conditioning system which can be varied in number or size of heating blocks dependant on the total area involved.
2 A self contained Air Fragrancing I Conditioning system as claimed in Claim I which utilises a unique 'Solid Fragrance' delivery system which extends the overall life of the fragrance and reduces oxidisation during and after use A c\ self contained Air Fragrancing / Conditioning system as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 wherein the system is externally controlled and monitored via an electrically operated timer control unit which can be situated at a specified distance from the ventilation duct work 4 A self contained Air Fragrancing I Conditioning system as claimed in Claim 1 or Claim 2 or Claim 3 wherein the system is controlled thermostatically directly onto the heating blocks and externally monitored via the red power 'off' indicators and green power 'on' indicators located on the external control unit
