Abstract

In accordance with the present invention, the bearing mounting structure for a fan motor includes a frame, a bearing and at least one fixer. The frame includes an axial tube 11 in which the bearing is fixed by the fixer 2. The bearing is mounted inside the axial tube by means of clearance fit and the fixer is mounted inside the axial tube by means of tight fit to secure the bearing to the frame.

Description

2327986 IRFARING MOINTING STRUCTURE FOR THF FAN MOTOR B ACKGROUND OF
1WWM0N
Field of the Invention
The pm invention is related to a bearing structure for a fan motor, and more particularly to a single bearing mounting structure for a fan motor.
Doedution of the Related-Art ROC Patent Publication No. 302056 entitled -Single Ball Bearing S% Structure For Fan Axis" discloses a ball bearing supporting structure having a ball bearing and an oil bearing. The fan rotor is supported by a ban bearing and an oil bearing. Accordingly, it requires that the =terlines of the ban bearing and the oil bearing be aligned with each other. Otherwise, it will result in vibration and noises when the rotor rotates. The bearing cannot be mounted by mews of tight fit; or the bean will be damaged due to deformation and ffiction. When the bearing a mounted by means of clearance fi it requires another oil bearing to assist the supporting of the bearin& If no the bearing of the rotor cannot be famly mounted for rotation. Besides, it is also high manufacturing cost and time-consuming to manufacture the above structure. Such a conventional assembly manner causes many problems in this arL Therefore, there is a need in the art of the fan motor to overcome the above problems of the bearing mounting structure.
SUMY OF THE DJVENITON The object of the present invention is to provide a bearing mounting structure for a fan motor having a single bearing to be mounted such that the problem of deviation of the centerline is eliminated.
Another object of the claimed invention is to provide a single bearing mounting 1 struct= for a fan motor which is convenient for assembly so as to lower the manufacturing cost.
A further object of the present invention is to provide a single bearing inowiting structure for a fan motor of which the thickness is minimized such that the thickness of the fan motor is also mffii In accordance with the present invention, the bearing mounting sumb= for a fan motor mainly a firame, a b=mg and at 1 one fixer 11o fi=e includes an axial tube m which the bearing is fixed by the fixer The bearing is mounted inside the axial tube by means of clearance fit and the fixer is mounted inside the axial Uke by means of tight fit to secure the bearing to the firame.
BRIEF DESCRIPTIONS OF TBE DRAWINGS
For a better understanding of the present invention as well as other objects, advantages, and fluther fes thereof, reference is made to the following detailed descriptions to be read in conjunction with accompanying drawings, wherein
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the embodiment of the bearing mounting structure for a fan motor in accordance with the present invention; Fig. 2 shows the top view of an assembled bearing mounting structure for a fan motor, Fig. 3 shows a cross-section view along line 3-3 of Fig. 2; Fig. 4 is a partially enlarged view of Fig. 3; and Fig. 5 is a cross-section view in accordance with the second embodiment of the present invention.
DETAILú1) DESCRIPTION OF THE DMEb411ON
Referring to Fig. 1, it shows a perspective view of the first embodiment in 2 accordance with the present invention. The bearing mounting structure for a fan motor mainly a flanic 1, a beaffig 12 and at least one fl= 2. Ile franic 1 inchides an axial tube 11 in which the bearing 12 is fn-ed by the fl= 2. The bearing 12 can be a ball b oil bearin& or brass b The fix= 2 is made of plastic or metal and has an outer diameter. slightly lager than the inner diameter of the axial tube. Referring to Figs. 2, 3 and 4, the bearing 12 is mounted inside the axial tube 11 by means of cleamcc fit and the fixer 2 is mounted inside the mU tube 11 by me= of tight fit to secure the bearing 12 to the frame 1. The bearing 12 is sandwiched between the upper and lower fixers 2.
Referring to Fig, 5, it shows the second embodiment in accordance with the present invention. One end of the axial tube 11 has a protrusion 13 extending inwardly to support the bearing 12. The bearing 12 is disposed inside the xdal tube 11 against the protrusion 13 and then the fixer 2 pressed into the axial tube 11 to secure the bearing 12 inside the axial tube 11 between the protrusion 13 and the fixer 2.
It will be appreciated that the present invention only requires a single beafing; therefore, the problem of centerlinc deviation for two bemngs is eliminated and the structure thereof is more convenient for assembly. Besides, since the number of bearings is reduced, the manufacturing cost is also lowered and the thickness of the overall structure is also reduced. The bearing mounting structure in accordance with the present invention is more suitable for use in the miniature fans.
Although the invention has been dcscnbcd in relation to the prefemd embodiments, it is to be understood that other modifications and variations can be nude without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as hereinafter claimed.
