Abstract

A protective fingerless hand glove covering the back of the hand and knuckles having straps securing it to the base of the fingers and thumb whilst not adversely affecting their movement. The glove is made from material such that the hand is protected from heat and abrasion yet maintaining flexibility and being washable. The glove has an adjustable fastener and therefore fits most wrist sizes and is suitable for both left and right handed people.

Description

Protective hand glove This invention relates to a protective hand glove In the factory, workshop and at home there are many occasions when some form of protection for the back of the hand is required. The protection is required when the hand holding a tool may need to be placed within an environment with rough surfaces, in machinery, or when the work may be close to a source of heat. It is an advantage if the protective covering to the back of the hand allows the fingers and thumbs freedom of movement for finite and delicate processes.

The proposed invention is for a protective glove which fits over the back of the hand covering the knuckles, with straps to the base of the fingers and thumb, but leaving the fingers and thumbs uncovered so that they can carry out delicate processes. The protective hand glove is made of a material which resists heat and protects the back of the hand from knocks, yet is flexible to allow movement and is also washable. It is designed to fit most hand sizes with a two-way fastening and suitable for both left- and right-handers.

The invention is shown in the accompanying illustrations.

Referring to the drawings, the protective hand glove comprises a covering which fits over the back of the hand. The protective hand glove can be securely attached to the base of the fingers and thumb as shown in Figure 1, and is secured around the wrist.

The protective hand glove covers the back of the hand from the wrist to the first finger joint as shown in Figure 2.

The protective hand glove can be securely attached to the base of the fingers and thumb as shown in Figure 3.

The protective hand glove fits snugly over the back of the hand leaving the fingers and thumb freedom of movement as shown in Figure 4.

I A protective hand glove which fits over the back of the hand covering the knuckles, is securely fastened to the base of the fingers and thumb, but leaves the fingers and thumb uncovered so that they can carry out delicate processes.
2 A protective hand glove as claimed in Claim 1 which is made from a suitable material to protect the hand from knocks.
3 A protective hand glove as claimed in Claims 1 and 2 which is made from a suitable material to protect the hand from a heat source.
4 A protective hand glove as claimed in Claims 1,2 and 3 which is made from a suitable material so that it can be washed.
5 A protective hand glove as claimed in Claims 1,2,3 and 4 which is made from a suitable material such that it is flexible allowing the hand to move easily.
6 A protective hand glove as claimed in Claim 1 which is easy to put on and take off.
7 A protective hand glove as claimed in Claims 1 and 6 which is so designed that it can be fastened in two different ways allowing for varying wrist sizes.
8 A protective hand glove as claimed in Claim 1 which can be worn by both left- and right-handers.
