Abstract

A variable combination cap comprising two or more constituting members (1, 2, 3). These members can be readily disassembled and assembled to produce different types of cap. The members may also be assembled in order to produce different colour combinations of these caps.

Description

Variable Combination Cap Field of the Invention This invention relates to a variable combination cap, particularly to a cap comprising two or more constituting members readily disassembled and assembled to optionally different types of caps individually or in combination.
Background of the Invention Conventionally, there are a variety of caps including sporting cap, visor, beanie, skullcap and the like, each of which has single configuration and function. It frequently needs different types of caps at different occassions. So far any conventional cap has not provided any innovation and variation in breakthrough to meet the requirements of consumers.
Summary of the Invention The primary object of this invention is to provide a variable combination cap which completely overcome the drawbacks of conventional single-function cap and present different types of caps by variable combination of the constituting members at any time to produce multiple funtional effects.
Another object of this invention is to provide the aforementioned variable combination cap, the constituting members of which can be exchanged with that of other variable combination cap(s) in different colors or designs to present a greater variety of caps to meet the requirement of diversification.
Aformentioned and other objects, features and advantages will be apparent and better understood from the fllowing description in detail with reference to the embodiments as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
Brief Description of the Drawings Fig.l is a perspective view of one embodiment of the variable combination cap in accordance with the present invention in assembled state; Fig.2 is a perspective view of the embodiment as shown in Fig.l in exploded state; f Fig. 3 is a diagrammatic view illustrating the cap used as a sporting cap; Fig.4 is a diagrammatic view illustrating the cap variably used as a headband; Fig.5 is a diagrammatic view illustrating the cap variably used as a visor; Fig.6 is a diagrammatic view illustrating the cap variably used as a beanie; Fig.7 is a diagrammatic view illustrating the cap variably used as a skullcap; Fig.8 is a perspective view of an alternative embodiment of the variable combination cap in accordance with the present invention in assembled state; and Fig.9 is a perspective view of the alternative embodimant as shown in Fig.8 in exploded state.
Detailed Description of the Preferred Embodiments Now, referring to Figs. 1 and 2 of the drawings, the variable combination cap in first embodiment according to present invention comprises three constituting members, namely, a peak 1, a lower member 2 and an upper member 3, which are readily assembled and disassembled.
The peak 1 is in a crescent shape having a convex and an opposite concave sides as that of conventional sporting cap, provided that an arc wall 8 is formed at the concave side of said peak 1 andsubstantially perpendicular thereto. Said wall 8 at the surface towards opposite convex side of said peak 1 is provided with an engagement means 5, for example, made of crimped rigid fiber, so called Vilcro.
The lower member 2 is a web with a band 9 at one end and a buckle 10 at other end for fastening to each other, preferably provided with conventional adjusting means (not shown). The lower member 2 is provided at least at inner side with a fibrous surface which is able to engage with said crimpled rigid fiber 5 in entangling manner and yet has sufficient soft texture. At peripheral upper rim of said lower member 2 is provided with an interconnecting means 4, such as one longitudinal half of a zipper, as shown.
The upper member 3 is a domed cover, at peripheral lower rim of which is provided with another lognitudinal half of zipper of said interconnecting means 4. The slider 11 of said zipper 4 may be provided either at the side of said lower member 2 (not shown) or at the side of said upper member (as shown on Fig.2). A notch 7 is formed at periphery of said upper member 3 in order to provide a suitable space for fastening and adjustment between said band 9 and said buckle 10 in said lower member 2 when said lower member 2 and said upper member 3 are interconnected to each other by closing two halves of said zipper 4 respectively at both members 2 and 3.
When the variable combination cap in accordance with the present invention has said peak 1 and said lower member 2 as well as said lower member 2 and said upper member 3 engaged and interconnnected respectively, an assembled state as shown in Fig.l illustrates no significant different configuration from conventional sporting cap, as referred to Fig.3.
But the present variable combination cap is characterized that the constituting members 1, 2 and 3 can be disassembled and used individually or in variable combination to present various kinds of different caps. For instance, the lower member 2 can be individually used as a headband, as shown in Fig.4. When said lower member 2 is combined with the peak 1, a visor is formed, as shown in Fig.5. The combination of said lower member 2 and said upper member 3 represents a beanie, as shown in Fig.6. Said upper member 3 may be individually used as a skullcap, as shown in Fig.7.
It is seen that upon the variable compination of said peak 1, said lower member 2 and said upper member 3, it can optionally present sporting cap, headband, visor, beanie and skullcap.
Further, if each three constituting members 1, 2 and 3 of two present variable combination caps in different colors or designs, i.e. six members in total, are assembled in arrangement and combination, there will be nineteen possible kinds of variable caps.
Moreover, if each three constituting members 1,2 and 3 of three present variable conmbination caps in different colors or designs, i.e. nine members in total, are assembled in arrangement and combination, there will be thirty five possible kinds of variable caps.
Furthermore, in the alternative embodiment according to the present invention the variable combination cap consists only two members, i.e. a peak 1 and a body 6, as shown in Figs 8 and 9. The peak 1 is substantially the same as in first embodiment as shown in Figs. 1 and 2. The body 6 is substantially integrally formed by the lower member 2 and the upper member 3 in the first embodiment. In this alternative embodiment only two variable combinations are possible, namely said peak 1 and said body 6 are either combined to form a sporting cap, as shown in Fig.8, or said body 6 is disassemgled from said peak 1 and individually used as a beanie, as shown in Fig.9.
The aforementioned embodiments have been described for illustrative purpose only, and any modification, change and variation readily known by those skilled in the art should be considered in the scope of the spirits and claims of this invention.
